Having lots to say but lacking the creative feeling to do so has quieted me for a bit. At the same time, a Christian friend of mine has launched a new blog. Out of the gate, I find his writing unique and his goal refreshing. Enjoy.
“Rooster one day, featherduster the next…”
Jesus Christ warned us that in the last days, just before His second coming, there would arise many false prophets, who would deceive the very elect of God, if it were possible, and it seems that in the lives of some people, it is indeed possible.
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”Matthew 24:4,5
While the ‘elect’ may well escape the deceptions of Antichrist and his bevvy of false ministries, some of those who were once enlightened in the things of God, and have turned away from that light, and have un/wittingly succumbed to the forces of darkness, are already deceived beyond measure.
This brings into our focus that memorable character who calls himself ‘Gordy’. Now ordinarily, having read many of his…

Where have you been?????????????
Uh…good question, Barbara. I can tell you that I just spent almost 2 hours reading an old post on this blog and reviewing a position that I had taken a while back. I found the comments by readers quite interesting. It almost makes me want to “converse” again. And I’m sure I will one of these days, unless the pre-trib position is correct and Jesus surprises us all before I get the chance.
I’ve been busy substitute teaching and to be honest it can be wearing. There is so much going on in this crazy world to comment on and I’d like to be in the discussion. Yet, I find much of my down time is taken by resting up for the next job or spending time with Grant when he comes home from college on the weekends.
Thank you for your kind words, Barbara. Another blogger friend has also kindly written me that it had been too long since I last posted.
I am watching and reading…and thinking…and not praying enough. I never thought I’d see things slide downhill (in every way) so quickly. You know that I believe our slide has been created by our decision that we are smarter and wiser than God. Two pastors whom I regard highly have recently stated that there is no revival coming. I thought I’d never hear that from one of these Godly men. I came to the same conclusion in 2008 when the ACT 1 law was ruled unconstitutional by our state Supreme Court.
Of course, we have not given up. The hope we have in Jesus keeps us moving. The longer I live in this world, the more obvious it is that it is not my home.
Please say “Hi” to Tom and Pete (and friend?) for me.
God’s blessings…
Hi Chris – thanks for visiting my blog lately, and liking some things and commenting on others – it’s very encouraging, to get support from the online Christian community…
Hi Apollo,
You’re welcome. I’ve really enjoyed your posts. I find that I have been spending more time blogging lately but my time is being spent only on others’ blogs and that’s fine with me. I do have to get to my friend Manny’s blog more often. Being a part of the online Christian community is a true blessing.
Thanks Chris – I’ve done a fair bit of writing, but I’ve also found a half dozen online articleslately and have posted them on my blog.
I’m getting a lot of hits from both Oz and NZ – as well as some far flung parts of the globe. Both the USA and Canada have regular watchers, and there are even some from the EU, Romania and Djubati???
Not sure where that is, but there seems to be hungry hearts everywhere, seeking after God’s own truth, and I feel very privilaged to be a part of the online scene, albeit in a very small way…
Thanks for sharing, Apollo. It is quite surprising where the hits come from at times. In this online world one never really knows what kind of impact one is having. I pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to give you wisdom in your efforts to bring others into His Kingdom.
Hi Chris – am just calling in to wish all you Christians well, who celebrate “Christmas” (pagan festival?) and those who don’t, as well 🙂
Call in via email and I’ll update you bro…
Thanks Apollo. Heading over to email now to check in…
Hi Chris – thanks for ‘liking’ my latest post – you’ve gotmail bro…
Hi Apollo. You’re welcome and I’ve checked my mail and will be sending you something this weekend. Until then,
God’s blessings…
Thanks Chris – am looking forward to that…
