THE COMPETITIVENESS OF MANKIND

With all of the serious issues on the plate lately, I wanted a bit of levity. Hopefully this’ll work.

In truth, these are minonkind but humans act just like ’em at times. I’ve always been competitive but my understanding of scripture has improved over the years and it has caused me to see competition in an entirely different light. All Christians are running a race. The writer to the book of Hebrews states:

“Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider Him who has endured such hostility by sinners against Himself, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.”

If you are a Christian, you understand the difference between the world’s race and the Christian’s race.

BTW…I’ll take any of you on in a game of ping-pong any day.
