Love those two verses
I have the same reaction, Pastor, Jim. đ
Hi Chris. how is everything going. I sent you an email did you get it? How is your mom? How are you? As always covering you in prayer. Love your sis in Christ.
Hi Deborah Ann. Thank you for asking. Everything is going okay. I didn’t get your email. I checked my spam box and it wasn’t there so I may have deleted it. I’m usually pretty careful about deleting things but I’m sorry if I did. You probably still have the email that you sent so would you please try again? My email address is chrisreimers@cablelynx.com.
Thank you for asking about mom. She has had a pretty serious decline since the last time we “talked.” She is getting weaker, is rarely able to move to a portable commode just next to her bed, is having a hard time swallowing, and is sleeping for extended periods of time. I am still staying with her 5 nights a week and my sister stays with her the other two. I’m here at her house over 100 hours a week. She has been at a point, for some time now, where it just hasn’t been safe to leave her alone. I don’t know how many times I’ve caught her before she would have fallen. The folks at hospice have been very supportive of helping us manage her pain so she seems pain free most of the time. We are very fortunate to have a hospice company that prays each day for those under their care. Brother Billy, the chaplain and former pastor, comes out to see mom every Wednesday. Her nurse, Cecelia, also comes out once a week and has done an excellent job of helping me.
I so appreciate your prayers. I feel them. It’s now been well over a year that I’ve been caring for my Dad (passed May 2017) and now my mom full time. God has blessed me with a wonderfully supportive family and friends like you.
I have the blessing of knowing that when God decides to take my mom home it won’t be long before I will see her again in a place that I can’t even imagine. Mom served the Lord for over 60 years as choir director and music teacher for three different churches and a Christian school. She sang at many weddings and funerals. The talents that God gave her were used to Glorify Him. She has had a great life.
Thank you again for your thoughtful comment and I pray that God continues to bless you and use your blog to help others. I don’t know how many times one of your posts was just what I needed for that day.
Please know that you are in my prayers as well.
Love,
Your brother in Christ.
Resent the email. Will write more tomorrow. đ
