Quotes #22 …John Flavel 1627-1691

There is not such a pleasant history for you to read in all the world as the history of your own lives, if you would sit down and record from the beginning hitherto what God has been to you, and done for you; what evidences and outbreakings of his mercy, faithfulness, and love there have been in all the conditions you have passed through.

Thank you for your kind reply, T’. I wish I had said this but it was a popular Christian author who was born almost 400 years ago who said this.

  4. I really like this quote—to remember the goodness of God in our lives–isn’t that what Revelations 3:3 urges us also to do–to remember what we have seen and heard—doing so leads us to repentence and from a luke warm love to a blazing hot love for the Lord! Thanks you Chris for this one!!
