EVER HEARD OF THE BURNING MAN GATHERING?

I found this story at a blog that I recently became aware of.  It is called “M’Kayla’s korner” and has some very interesting articles, like this one, there.  I am putting her blog on my blogroll if you would like to check it out.

This is one very strange event:

‘Burning Man’ Draws 68,000 To America’s Largest Pagan Cult Gathering

My comment:

The New Age movement is alive and well and moving into the churches at an alarming rate.  Check out your church’s statement of faith.  Make sure that it coincides with the truth of God’s Word.  Unfortunately, solid Bible teaching is getting harder to find.  Seek and ye shall find.

Not only have I heard of it, I often see the crazy scuptures heading to the Reno desert on Interstate 80… It’s bad.  They even have a kids zone…

      Hi Sandy.

Wow. That must give you and eerie feeling as you drive down I-80. As you have seen by this post, the gathering is very satanic in nature. And a kid’s zone? One should never expose a child to this sort of evil stuff.

Thanks for the info. It’s always great to “hear” from you Sandy.

      God’s blessings…

(I tried to remove your phone number, but for some reason WordPress would not let me edit it out. If you want to send another comment without it, that would be fine.)

I hadn’t heard of Zozobra, dawnmarie.

It’s very similar to this satanic/new age festival.

I checked the link and it stated: “(It) is a giant marionette effigy that is built and burned every autumn during Fiestas de Santa Fe in Santa Fe, New Mexico, usually during the second week of September.”

      Crazy goings on.

BTW…I’ve been having some problems commenting on your blog. I’ve been wondering how Kari is doing. I haven’t heard from her in ages and I left several comments that she hasn’t replied to. If you know what’s happening in her life, would you let me know at chrisreimers@cablelynx.com ?

      Call me concerned and curious.

      God’s blessings…

I went a few times when I was in college, zozobra I mean. Lots of drinking goes on there, um…eating, stuff like that. A reason to get drunk I guess. Wouldn’t go these days. I’m not that person anymore I suppose. Back then, it was cool to me. I didn’t understand.

I checked the settings on the blog, and it’s open for comments. What is it asking you to do?

        • Chris says:

So glad you wouldn’t go these days, dawnmarie.

I think your blog was having a problem accepting my email address. I can’t think of any other reason it wouldn’t accept my comments.

I was allowed to leave a comment, just not one with my email address.

  2. Mannyr says:

I remember a documentary on this bunch. A real sick group who make obvious references to the Bible. They seem to exalt death, like all occultists. ‘I lose the glorious light of the gospel of Jesus Christ upon every head, heart and mind in Jesus name!”

    • Chris says:

I never saw that documentary, Manny.

I wasn’t aware of the references to the Bible, either. Thanks for the info.

The exaltation of death shows just how sick this gathering is.

God is not pleased I think.

      God’s blessings…

  3. I saw this article at M’Kayla’s site too. Horrifying. In my younger days I went to Australian raves that were a bit like this…probably an earlier phase of this movement. Lots of drugs, few boundaries, and worst of all…kids were often allowed at some of them (I didn’t have kids back then). Even back then I found it all a bit too much, and could not believe people would let their kids be around drug-affected, freaky (sometimes) naked people. Ughh. And these people think we are evolving. Um, nope.

Carl Teichrib has been covering this ‘transformation’ movement in his recent radio program at Forcing Change (to listen, click on Broadcast 9 & 10 on the right hand side):

    http://www.forcingchange.org/

Carl is a Christian with many years experience commentating on issues relating to globalization, technocracy, transhumanism and other issues of concern. His monthly newsletter is also excellent!

    • Chris says:

Welcome to the Wings of the Wind, The Narrowing Path.

It sounds like you had a few crazy experiences in Australia. Letting kids hang around with drug-affected, freaky, naked people?

      Ughh is right!!!

I make it clear here that I am a creationist and that there are many evidences against Darwinian evolution. (A friend of mine calls it evolutionism.)

I will listen to Carl’s broadcast’s as time allows. Thank you for sharing the link with me.

      God’s blessings…

  4. Yep, it’s crazy evil. Well, all evil is insanity really. I did get that you were a creationist. Me too. A fundamental tenet of the faith, if a not very popular one. My comment re: evolving is that pagans, new agers and other such lost souls truly believe that they can evolve spiritually through these evil practices. My comment alluded to the fact that since all they are doing is returning to the darkest pagan practices of early biblical history, I fail to see how they could possibly think they are evolving. Sad to see such extraordinary delusion. Let’s keep praying for this dying world.

Thanks for the welcome, I am visiting from over at Delight in Truth. 🙂 Sherryn

    • Chris says:

Amen, Sherryn. We must keep on praying.

I’ve seen your comments on Delight’s site and recognized your gravatar. (Isn’t the word gravatar taken from the new age term “avatar?”)

I’m at work now and don’t have time to reply further on your comment until this evening.

I am, however, very happy to “meet” another creationist. We are becoming fewer in numbers every day.

      God’s blessings…

      Chris

      • Chris says:

I like your comment about how pagans and new agers view evolutionism. I think we are de-evolving. The Bible says, “The Earth is wearing out like a garment.” It’s wearing out because of evil events like this one. Sin is taking a toll on the earth in every way: physically, spiritually, ect.

So glad you commented, Sherry. 🙂

  5. Ohhhh! This is eerie. Those photographs in the original post remind me of the high places of worship in Israel. I love how Isaiah and Jeremiah make fun of them and their carved images and how they bow down to a god who has to be carried by human hands out into the desert. It is shocking to see modern society stoop this low.

    • Chris says:

It is a shocking thing, Delight.

I would love to watch Elijah show up have the competition begin. It is amazing how many cut themselves today just as the prophets of baal did in 1 Kings 18.

Another sign of the times. I’m sure there is a medical term for this type of behavior. I guess the spiritual term would be evil.

      God’s blessings…

  6. This might interest you, Chris and DIT.

A huge ‘transformational’ event in Byron Bay, near Sydney, Australia:

    http://www.upliftfestival.com/about

A radio program on our godless ABC network (Radio National) featuring two influential scientists preaching the hardcore new age doctrine as science. One of them mentioned the above festival. Incredible.

    http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/spiritofthings/new-beliefs-for-a-new-millennium/4775964

I saw this at university a few years back when I was studying psychology. Biology and neuroscience texts were beginning to teach spiritual doctrine dressed as bad science, very eastern in its feel. But I haven’t seen it this blatant until recently!

    • Chris says:

      I watched the trailer, Sherry.

“We are the one?” This is one of the slogans that will be used for this event. The trailer depicts a few folks with fancy titles speaking of eastern mystic ideas that are nothing less than, as you have stated, hardcore new age doctrines.

Back after I listen to some of the audio.

Oy, Vey! (Woe is me!!!) Peter Todd’s book “The Individualization of God, Integrating Science Religion” sounds like another New Age textbook to me.

And Bruce Lipton’s eureka moment when he “passed over to the spirit realm” certainly puts him in the mystical camp.

This is all news to me, sherry.

I have a few online friends who live in Australia. I’ll ask them if they’ve heard of this event.

      God’s blessings…

  7. Or this: http://www.frimmin.com/faith/godinall.php

No wonder people are so confused. The language is interchangeable for many.

  8. Chris says:

    Biblical Panentheism?

Just another term for rebellion against our Almighty God. The little I saw of this website confused me. The Bible says that our God is not one of confusion.

The terminology is interchangeable; different words that lead us back to the tree in the garden.

Thanks for the links. Very educational.
