JOIN IN THE PROTECTION OF LIFE

The pro-life movement is gaining momentum in Washington and the public is being asked to join in the effort.

“Live Action released undercover videos of abortion clinic personnel saying they do not resuscitate babies born alive during abortions. Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell was convicted of murder for killing babies born alive during abortions, and Operation Rescue and Life Dynamics released an interview with three former abortion clinic workers claiming a Houston abortionist killed aborted babies born alive.”

My comment: I love Thursdays. This is because it is “baby-saving day” where I work. The center where I work has an ultrasound machine and a certified technician who does a great job helping young women to see what is developing inside of them.  I’ve only been there five years, but in the 25 years the center has been in operation over 2,000 babies have been saved from abortion; several recently.

That abortion is still legal in America is a tragedy beyond comprehension.  The ladies at the center cry each time a woman chooses abortion.  I teach parenting at the center, where I get to help parents realize how important it is for their families to have God in their lives.  What a responsibility, privilege, and blessing it is!

I pray that the momentum this article speaks of continues as we near, I believe, the soon coming of our Lord and Savior.

THE INCREDIBLE, EDIBLE ‘190 MILLION-YEAR-OLD-EGG

Yunnan Province, China holds some very special eggs, containing the tiny bones of unborn sauropod dinosaurs. Within the Lufeng Formation, a relatively thin bed of red sediment contains these fossil eggs, mixed and buried amidst other fossils. While perhaps providing new clues to the ways sauropod dinosaurs developed from embryos, they also bear distinct marks of very recent flooding.

First, the find’s context fits a watery cataclysm. Science NOW covered this story, describing the fossils as, “one nest after another destroyed by floods.”1 Of course, Noah’s year-long Flood strung together many disastrous tsunami-like flood events, each one covering a broad swath, sometimes blanketing areas the size of whole continents.

My comment:  “You’ll never see an article like this in the liberal news media, although I would have to give a publication like Science NOW credit for their integrity.  If there is some discovery that seems to prove Darwinian evolution, it is printed regardless of how much evidence there is for it.  Items like this, that reflect thousands, not millions, of years’ worth of aging, are out there, but one has to look for them.  Darwinian evolution is being taught in every public institution in the nation.  The brainwashing has gone on for quite some time now, and it is interesting to me that still only half of Americans believe we came from some primordial soup or were seeded here by aliens (Richard Dawkins considers this possibility here).

“That’s good enough for me.  Any belief about origins ultimately comes down to faith.”

THE NEW CPR

I would like to thank my friend, Bobbie Morningstar, for sending this information out in an email.  Though most of the posts on this blog deal with the soul, we are to emulate the Good Samaritan and try to help others when we are able.  This is so much simpler than what I’ve been taught in the past.  One never knows when one may be in a position to be used of God to extend a person’s life.

How anyone can look at this picture and say that our world happened by chance is beyond me.  Those who believe that an ungodly “Big Bang” occurred think I’m brainwashed.  Well, I think there was a Godly “Big Bang;”  God spoke and “Bang,” our universe was here.  Those who believe otherwise are the ones who are brainwashed.

Of course the greatest danger of the ‘Morning After Pill’ is that it is designed to kill a child, whether son or daughter.”

Many of you are aware that one judge made one ruling that may lead to the plan b pill being sold over the counter.  It is a tragic sign of the times in which we live.

HE HAS RISEN

THE SHROUD

I have always been fascinated by the Shroud of Turin. Is it a picture of our crucified Lord? Many think so. There is so much evidence that it is hard to view it otherwise. Here is a video about the blood on the Shroud. It would take a master forger to fake that.

I also think the Shroud is genuine. Though some would disagree, the facts seem to verify the veracity of the image. Whether it is the real thing or not, it should cause many to pause and wonder: “Is this the face of the Savior of mankind?”

Giant Salamander Suction Compared to Jet Car

Some rocket cars can accelerate at 5 g-forces.1 For comparison, respectable acceleration for a sports car amounts to half a “g,” and people faint when accelerating at 5g’s. But long before the rocket car was invented, fish were accelerating just as forcefully into the mouths of giant salamanders. How did these thin-skinned amphibians acquire rocket-force mouthparts?

A team of researchers from Austria investigated the biomechanics of suction feeding and measured the maximum acceleration of a fish as it traveled into a Chinese Giant Salamander’s mouth. These river monsters, including the species Andrias davidianus, can exceed five feet in length. Their numbers are steadily declining, so we better study them now since future generations might not get the chance.2

The Journal of the Royal Society Interface published the new results.  Moving their fast food at 40-50 m/s2, or between 4 and 5g’s, these salamander’s suckers impress.

This is another of God’s amazing wonders.  How this salamander is able to generate this kind of power is not beyond me even though I don’t have a title in front of my name.  I think I know where this Chinese sucker got its abilities. As Dr. Thomas states:

“So far, the most scientifically responsible answer to the question of salamander suction origins is a purposeful creation by God.”

I agree.

ARKANSAS PASSES NATION’S BROADEST ABORTION RESTRICTIONS

Arkansas legislators have overridden a veto by the governor in order to prohibit most abortions after 12 weeks of pregnancy, the earliest ban of any state in the country.

“I feel grateful that people recognize that the abortion policy of this nation has not made abortions rare,” said the bill’s sponsor, Sen. Jason Rapert, in a statement. “In Arkansas, we have now recognized the need for a more balanced policy, and Roe v. Wade has allowed us this option.”

“I am so proud of my fellow legislators for standing up and protecting the lives of unborn children,” he continued. “When there is a heartbeat, there is life.”
