Wings of the Wind 
NEARNESS
So sweet in the evenings
God is so near
as I snuggle to dream, with peace.
Relaxed and with inner joy
a music my heart releases.
Washed over in a love that’s splendid,
knowing His truths. His promises stand –
when in the meadow of gentle night
I see I’m in His hand.
The crickets are singing twilight to me,
there’s sky painting with a touch,
lifted up in Christ’s love, He says unto me,
“Life’s trials are never too much.”
