While I have this up, I would like to wish all of my readers a Merry Christmas Day whether they observe the day or not. Looking ahead to 2026, my hope is that all of us grow in the Lord and in the knowledge of His Word.

Here on our side of the Atlantic, we are several hours ahead of you. So our Christmas Eve is over one and a half days ago. In Norway, the main celebration is on Christmas Eve, especially looked forward to by children. In the afternoon many of us have been to church, to a service especially with children in view. I am used to it being at 4 p.m., but in some churches there are several services on that day. After that, there is usually an especially good dinner at home, and then we walk around the Christmas tree, singing carols, while the presents have been placed under the tree. Then they are opened, and there is more singing and special tidbits.
On Christmas Day there is also a celebration, more solemn, there are church services and in some places “open church” for many hours. There are people visiting each other, many go out skiing if there is snow, and another special lunch or dinner.
I have woken up very very early on what will be Boxing Day, while you are still having your Christmas Day, so I send you my wishes for a joyous and blessed Christmas!
