Planned Parenthood Head Goes Full-time With Obama Campaign

October 23, 2012

“Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards has announced that she is taking a break from her job with the nation’s leading abortion provider so she can volunteer full-time to help in President Obama’s re-election effort.”

This is no surprise to me.  You may read the rest of Dave Bohon’s article, which was posted today in The New American, here.

All Over But the Crying

October 21, 2012

My friend, Mr. Bob Driggers, sent me an email awhile back.  I thought I would share it with you.

If Obama gets re-elected, “it’s all over but the crying.”

When we get 100,000,000, that’s one hundred million willing Christians to BOND together, voice their concerns and vote, we can take back America with God’s help.

Become one of the one hundred million, then lets get 200 million. It can be done by sending this email to your friends. Do the math. It only takes a willing heart and a fed up soul. God Bless America and Shine your Light on Her..

In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a “National Day of Prayer.”

—————————————————————————————————————————-
In 1988 President Reagan designated the first Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer.

—————————————————————————————————————————
In June 2007 (then) presidential candidate Barack Obama declared that the USA “Was no longer a Christian Nation.”

(I tend to agree with him here since Americans elected such a man. -CR)

—————————————————————

This year, President Obama canceled the 21st annual National Day Of Prayer ceremony at The White House, under the ruse of “not wanting to offend anyone.”

————————————————————————

BUT…

On September 25, 2009, from 4 AM until 7 PM, a National Day of Prayer FOR THE MUSLIM RELIGION was held on Capitol Hill, beside the White House.

There were over 50,000 Muslims in D.C. that day.

HE PRAYS WITH THE MUSLIMS!

I guess it doesn’t matter if “Christians” are offended by this event – We obviously don’t count as “anyone” anymore.  The direction this country is headed should strike fear in the heart of every Christian, especially knowing that the radical Muslims believe that if Christians cannot be converted, they should be annihilated.

I’ve edited Bob’s email a bit and I feel I’ve done my part by posting this to my blog and to Facebook.  If the Christians don’t show up and vote the right way this election, I agree with Bob’s assessment. – CR

EARLY VOTING STARTS MONDAY!!!

COME AND DINE

October 17, 2012

“Jesus saith unto them, Come and dine.”  -John 21:12

In these words the believer is invited to a holy nearness to Jesus. “Come and dine”, implies the same table, the same meat; aye, and sometimes it means to sit side by side, and lean our head upon the Saviour’s bosom. It is being brought into the banqueting house, where waves the banner of redeeming love. “Come and dine”, gives us a vision of union with Jesus, because the only food that we can feast upon when we dine with Jesus is himself. Oh, what union is this! It is a depth which reason cannot fathom, that we thus feed upon Jesus. “He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.” It is also an invitation to enjoy fellowship with the saints. Christians may differ on a variety of points, but they have all one spiritual appetite; and if we cannot all feel alike, we can all feed alike on the bread of life sent down from heaven. At the table of fellowship with Jesus we are one bread and one cup. As the loving cup goes round we pledge one another heartily therein. Get nearer to Jesus, and you will find yourself linked more and more in spirit to all who are like yourself, supported by the same heavenly manna. If we were more near to Jesus we should be more near to one another. We likewise see in these words the source of strength for every Christian. To look at Christ is to live, but for strength to serve him you must “come and dine.” We labour under much unnecessary weakness on account of neglecting this percept of the Master. We none of us need to put ourselves on low diet; on the contrary, we should fatten on the marrow and fatness of the gospel that we may accumulate strength therein, and urge every power to its full tension in the Master’s service. Thus, then, if you would realize nearness to Jesus, union with Jesus, love to his people and strength from Jesus, “come and dine” with him by faith.

Decision by Netanyahu, Barak to Strike Iran is Almost Final — Israel TV

October 17, 2012

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak have “almost finally” decided on an Israeli strike at Iran’s nuclear facilities this fall, and a final decision will be taken “soon,” Israel’s main TV news broadcast reported on Friday evening.

Channel 2 News, the country’s leading news program, devoted much of its Friday night broadcast to the issue, detailing the pros and cons that, it said, have taken Netanyahu and Barak to the brink of approving an Israeli military attack despite opposition from the Obama administration and from many Israeli security chiefs.”

It is not surprising to me that the mainstream media in Israel is discussing possible military action.  Another article I read (link below) details just how many in Israel see Mr. Obama’s talk being only that.

One may see the rest of this article here.

The article titled “Obama only ‘talks the talk'” may be seen here.

Next President Could Decide Roe’s Future

October 16, 2012

“The future makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court has received little attention this election, despite the fact that four justices are in their 70s and are divided on a whole range of critical issues — including abortion and potentially gay marriage.”

This is a quote from Michael Foust of “The Baptist Press.”

Are you one of the 50% of voting age Americans who call themselves “Christian” and are not registered to vote?  If so, may I ask why?

Stark Differences Between Human and Chimp Brains

October 15, 2012

“New research adds to an ever-lengthening stream of discoveries that confirm exactly what a Bible-believing scientist would expect—humans are distinct from chimpanzees. They should be, if they were created in the image of God, not as an imaginary pre-human primate. The study, published in American Journal of Human Genetics, investigated DNA methylation patterning in human and chimpanzee brains.1 Two observations from this research support the biblical origins of mankind.”

Why Abortion is the Most Important Issue This Election

October 13, 2012

“On Nov. 6, America will go to the polls and elect the next president as well as members of the House and Senate. In advance of this vote, most Americans believe that the chief issue facing the country is the ailing economy. I want to make the case that this thinking is wrong-headed and that the transcendent issue of this election is abortion.”

This begins an article by Denny Burk published today on the Bible Prophecy Blog.  Mr. Burk Makes a good case for the title of his article.  You can read his article here.

Anyone who knows me knows how I feel about abortion.  It is an unavoidable topic.

“I Will Meditate in Thy Precepts.”

October 11, 2012

“I will meditate in thy precepts.”  Ps 119:15

There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on his Word spiritual strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God, because we thus get the real nutriment out of them. Truth is something like the cluster of the vine: if we would have wine from it, we must bruise it; we must press and squeeze it many times. The bruiser’s feet must come down joyfully upon the bunches, or else the juice will not flow; and they must well tread the grapes, or else much of the precious liquid will be wasted. So we must, by meditation, tread the clusters of truth, if we would get the wine of consolation therefrom. Our bodies are not supported by merely taking food into the mouth, but the process which really supplies the muscle, and the nerve, and the sinew, and the bone, is the process of digestion. It is by digestion that the outward food becomes assimilated with the inner life. Our souls are not nourished merely by listening awhile to this, and then to that, and then to the other part of divine truth. Hearing, reading, marking, and learning, all require inwardly digesting to complete their usefulness, and the inward digesting of the truth lies for the most part in meditating upon it. Why is it that some Christians, although they hear many sermons, make but slow advances in the divine life? Because they neglect their closets, and do not thoughtfully meditate on God’s Word. They love the wheat, but they do not grind it; they would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it; the fruit hangs upon the tree, but they will not pluck it; the water flows at their feet, but they will not stoop to drink it. From such folly deliver us, O Lord, and be this our resolve this morning, “I will meditate in thy precepts.”

I have the article discussed here, but I haven’t gotten to it yet.  It doesn’t matter whether you are able to read the article mentioned here or not, there is a great deal of information about Zion in this short discussion between Gary and Bob.
