Two Views of the Future

March 5, 2018

Ever heard of Jan Markell or Gregory Manarinno? Probably not. If you listen to both of these videos, you may wish you hadn’t.

I appreciate both. Whether you agree with their strong opinions or not their topics are very different but they are definitely concerned for the future of mankind.

Jan Markell is a well-known pre-trib rapture proponent with a good deal of knowledge about it and Globalism. One who doesn’t agree with her eschatological views may still be interested in much of what she says here. I think she is correct about the attempt at Globalism. I am not dogmatic about any eschatological view but if I had to admit to leaning in a direction, it would be towards the pre-trib view.

Gregory Manarinno is a young man who has made his living on his knowledge of the stock and bond markets. I agree with him that things are NOT as rosy in the financial world as many are making them out to be.

Are these two people too alarmist?

I wonder.

“We’ve never been here in the history of the World”

April 20, 2016

Mr. Mannarino said that the stock market would go no higher (at its high) and it hasn’t.

“Money makes the world go around,” is an old saying that mostly ungodly people say. It is ironic that the love of money has created the terrible financial situation the world is in.

I’m not a financial expert, but these guys seem to have a better handle on all things financial than most.

As a Christian, I know this:

“For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” 1 Timothy 6:10

We know where the graft the two Gregs talk about is coming from.

[graft, grahft] /græft, grɑft/ noun. 1. the acquisition of money, gain, or advantage by dishonest, unfair, or illegal means, especially through the abuse of one’s position or influence in politics, business, etc.

Iran Deal Increases Chance for Middle East War

April 13, 2016

It’s been way too long since I’ve posted something about the Middle East. My understanding of the Bible makes Israel very important forever. Check out the “New Jerusalem” discussed in Revelation 21. Iran and Russia appear to be “riding high,” creating more tension (if that’s possible) in the Middle East.

Scott Uehlinger is a 20 year CIA veteran and is an expert on Russia and Iran. He discusses American politics, the Iran “Deal,” Russia and Iran, and many other subjects.

I think Greg Hunter and his guests are more accurate than the mainstream news 95% of the time.

I was surprised to see Russian jets fly so close to U.S. naval personnel doing drills on a naval destroyer. It was reported that one jet got within 30 feet of the vessel.

Mr. Putin is not afraid to put our seamen in danger.

Egon von Greyerz-World Going Into Decline

March 23, 2016

Those who are storing gold in vaults that can’t be penetrated by nuclear bombs should read the following Bible verses:

13 “Someone in the crowd said to Him, ‘Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me.’ 14 But He said to him, ‘Man, who appointed Me a judge or arbitrator over you?’ 15 Then He said to them, ‘Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.’ 16 And He told them a parable, saying, ‘The land of a rich man was very productive. 17 And he began reasoning to himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, since I have no place to store my crops?’ 18 Then he said, ‘This is what I will do: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, ‘Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years to come; take your ease, eat, drink and be merry.’ 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your soul is required of you; and now who will own what you have prepared?’ 21 So is the man who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.’” -Luke 12

I think things are lining up exactly the way the Bible predicts. There will eventually be a one world government where an attempt will be made to control all economic activity (The Mark of the Beast). Will Christians be raptured out of the world before the Great Tribulation of Matthew 24 begins? I don’t know. However, I lean towards this view as it seems to be the best explanation I can currently give for how I understand scripture. Whatever happens, gold and guns won’t save your soul. I must make it clear that I am not against the 2nd amendment. In fact, I think it is an important part of our Constitution. And I am not against using what one possesses in a wise, God-pleasing manner. At the same time, a person can only serve one master.

The verses of Luke 12 quoted above may worry some. The verses of Luke 12 quoted below may worry some. I am particularly comforted by the section below.

12 “Under these circumstances, after so many thousands of people had gathered together that they were stepping on one another, He began saying to His disciples first of all, ‘Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known. 3 Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed upon the housetops.

4 ‘I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that have no more that they can do. 5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed, has authority to cast into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him! 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. 7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.

8 ‘And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Man will confess him also before the angels of God; 9 but he who denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God. 10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him. 11 When they bring you before the synagogues and the rulers and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say; 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you in that very hour what you ought to say.’” -Luke 12

What a comfort! God will give us the words to say if and when we need them. He also knows you better than you know yourself. Ever try and count the hairs on your head?

Note: I have put Egon up because he is an expert in the financial world. His geo-political comments towards the beginning of this interview are questionable. He needs to stick to his area of expertise and that’s why I have posted this. His view of upcoming financial possibilities fit well with my understanding of end time Biblical events.

Note 2: In fairness to Egon, after viewing the section for the 3rd time where he is speaking about things he is not an expert about, HE WAS ONLY ANSWERING QUESTIONS THAT GREG HAD ASKED HIM. He could have declined to answer but don’t we all have an opinion?

IS AMERICA’S FINANCIAL SYSTEM FAILED AND COMING APART?

March 10, 2016

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.” – Matthew 6:24

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” – Exodus 23:3

“You shall not make other gods besides Me; gods of silver or gods of gold, you shall not make for yourselves.” – Exodus 20:23

Where does your security rest? Is it in the material things of this world or is it in your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ? Since the beginning of time, man has forsaken God and turned towards the idols of this world. Every case has been a disaster. Why would God’s Word change now?

I am not a modern historicist. What is that you ask? Well, Many of the reformers were and still are called historicists when it comes to their view of last days events. Because they knew the Catholic Church of their day needed reforming, they thought that the Pope was part of the “spirit of anti-Christ.” Some thought he was to be the anti-Christ. People still believe in one of these two ideas.

Modern historicists have taken it a step further. They have interpreted most of the book of Revelation as having already been fulfilled. An example would be these verses from Revelation 13:

15 “And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, 17 and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. 18 Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six.”

Many Modern Historicists think this:

“The Jesuits covertly control the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the International Bank of Settlements, the Federal Reserve Bank, and Central Banks in almost every country. In their New World Order, they will control the monetary system, to dictate who buys and sells.”

In other words, they think Revelation 13 has already been fulfilled. You can see more here if you like.

Note: I Admire John Gill a great deal but I disagree with his comments on these verses. Of course, I have an advantage over Mr. Gill as I am living at a time that is closer to Jesus’ return. There are still missing many pieces that need to come into view.

I think the above verses from Revelation speak of a one world leader who will have enemies but will rule over a one world government. He will control the financial system: “he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark.”

I have never been interested in information involving money. However, in recent years I have become more interested because I think that the financial mess the world’s in may help lead to the rise of the man who is called the “man of lawlessness.”

“Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction…” – 2 Thess. 2:3

Of course, many things including an apostasy must come before this man takes power. I have heard more than one good pastor say that we may be in or are entering that time of apostasy. I don’t like date setters. If they don’t use the word “may” I won’t listen to them. However, we are much closer to Christ’s return than the great scholar John Gill was. Though dim, the picture is getting clearer. How close are we to Jesus’ return? How will it all take place? I don’t know. But I am watching as the Lord instructed us to do:

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. – Matt. 24:42

WEEKLY WRAP-UP FOR 3-5-2016

March 5, 2016

Where do I start this week? There is so much.

First I want to share what I think is a good thing. I have experienced over the past two decades or so the 5 stages of Loss and Grief. This is usually associated with a “response to an individual’s own terminal illness, the loss of a close relationship, or to the death of a valued being, human or animal.” The five stages are Denial and Isolation, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance. You can read more about the world’s take on this idea HERE.

I didn’t really understand what I was experiencing until recently. Now that I can look back, it is clear. In my case my loss and grief didn’t come from my “own terminal illness, the loss of a close relationship, or to the death of a valued being, human or animal.”

It came from the understanding that the world around me was changing. And it was changing in horrible ways. In my lifetime, Christian prayer has been removed from the public schools. Our kids are being fed propaganda, like the evolutionary theory, which is confusing vast numbers of young (and old) people when it comes to the reliability of the Bible. Abortion has been legalized. Marriage has now been redefined.

There is a specific event that took me to the 5th level of “acceptance.” I have written about it on this blog and it’s not important for anyone to know except that it happened in 2008.

Here is the world’s definition of the 5th level of loss and grief:

“Reaching this stage of mourning is a gift not afforded to everyone. Death may be sudden and unexpected or we may never see beyond our anger or denial. It is not necessarily a mark of bravery to resist the inevitable and to deny ourselves the opportunity to make our peace. This phase is marked by withdrawal and calm. This is not a period of happiness and must be distinguished from depression.”

I am thankful that God has allowed me to see beyond my anger and denial. The difference between the world’s view of these 5 stages and a Christian worldview is perhaps most different at the 5th level. How can I be withdrawn and calm when I see the ungodly things happening around me? I must be active and calm. It is the reality of Romans 8:28 and Ephesians 6.

There is so much going on in the world that I will focus on two (of the thousands of) items that scream the SIGNS OF THE TIMES.

There is the situation in Norway. Here is an acquaintance of mine speaking out against the injustices there:

Watch this video and judge for yourselves:

I would like to thank my new friend, Octavian Curpas, for sending me these videos.

Greg Hunter was in rare form this week. A former member of the mainstream media, he exposes what is really happening in our government. It sounds like he is a Trump fan but he’s never endorsed the man. He is only upset at the treatment that Trump has received. We’ll have to vote for the lesser of two evils in November. Greg’s focus is on the criminal crony class.

It is no surprise to me that youngsters lie to me almost everyday in my current position as a substitute teacher. I will always confront those whom I know are lying. God is in control as Greg says at the end of every one of his weekly wrap-ups. This is how I stay sane. This truth allows me not to accept the evil on goings but to accept that God’s hand will never forsake believers in spite of the way things appear.

Chris Reimers

Note: How can I leave the events surrounding Israel out of this review? There is so much on this issue and I hope I’ll have the time to cover some of it next week. Greg discusses it a tiny bit at the end of his You Tube video.

WEEKLY WRAP-UP 2-20-2016

February 20, 2016

I’ve been watching Greg Hunter’s weekly wrap-up for some time now. He used to be a member of the mainstream media and he is highly critical of the current mainstream sources.

Interestingly, he begins this wrap-up discussing the possibility of a Middle-Eastern War. Every Protestant end-times scenario that I’m aware of includes at least one major war. Those who believe in a view that a rapture will occur before the seven year tribulation think there will be a war in the Middle East with Israel. Though I lean towards this view, I’m not dogmatic about it. At the same time, things appear to be lining up according to the pre-trib view.

A major story that has been underreported in the West is one that is being covered on Delight in Truth’s Blog.

Barnevernet Sinking Despite the Progressive Romanian Defenders

There is so much going on that I can’t keep up with it. On the job front, I’ve enjoyed being with the kids lately. Unfortunately, I’ve had to send more than one student to the office recently because they lied to me. Hmm…wonder where they learned to look you straight in the eyes and lie to you? This week I had a mixture of jobs; everywhere from third grade to high school. Kids are still kids in spite of the spiritual meltdown happening all around them. You probably are aware of the reading materials that these kids read on their own time. This is something I can’t control. A student walked up to me and shared a “bloody” incident in a book that she was reading. I read it and said, “Gross!!!” I didn’t have time to express my concerns to her until the next day. It’s kind of rare for me to be in the same place two days in a row, but in this case I was very thankful.

I will miss Justice Scalia. His statements about allowing “same-sex” marriage were scathing. I don’t know how many times he was critical of the current Court and its unconstitutional views. I think the court will continue to become more Godless. I hope I’m wrong.

I wish you all a wonderful weekend in the Lord.
