P.M. Netanyahu’s Statement on UN Palestinian Status

Probably the greatest leader in the world today.

Text of PM Netanyahu’s Statement:

“Israel is prepared to live in peace with a Palestinian state, but for peace to endure, Israel’s security must be protected. The Palestinians must recognize the Jewish state and they must be prepared to end the conflict with Israel once and for all.

None of these vital interests, these vital interests of peace, none of them appear in the resolution that will be put forward before the General Assembly today and that is why Israel cannot accept it. The only way to achieve peace is through agreements that are reached by the parties directly; through valid negotiations between themselves, and not through UN resolutions that completely ignore Israel’s vital security and national interests And because this resolution is so one-sided, it doesn’t advance peace, it pushes it backwards.

As for the rights of the Jewish people in this land, I have a simple message for those people gathered in the General Assembly today: No decision by the UN can break the 4000-year-old bond between the people of Israel and the land of Israel.”

Absolutely unreal lopsidedness of the U.N. It is painfully clear the agenda of the world and its nations. I take heart in an old expression— “I and God constitute a majority.”

I heard there was a great applause after the vote was taken. Why the U.S. continues to allow the U. N. to be housed on American soil is a mystery to me. I was happy to see that the U.S. objected with Ambassador Rice calling the vote “unfortunate and counterproductive.”

“Lopsided” is the perfect word. The vote was 138-9, with 41 abstentions. The world has “spoken.”

  2. Mannyr says:

It seems to me that the world at large has a short memory of the determination and “sand” of Israel. Israel bends over backwards to work with its sworn enemies and when they determine to set things in order; the results often stun and startle bullies on the block.

How quickly they forget their bloody noses. If you are going to pick a fight you better be ready to have your blood spilled. These enemies of Israel are barking dogs until Israel takes a stick to them.

    • Chris says:

This statement by P.M. Netanyahu is an example of what you are describing, Manny. Israel has done everything possible to attain peace and its enemies only increase and get bolder. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob fights on the side of our Israeli friends. I wouldn’t want to be against them.
