CORRUPT BIBLIOLOGY PRODUCES CORRUPT THEOLOGY

October 28, 2012

The culture does not annul the Law of God; God’s Law stands whether the culture stands or not. What you are getting from the Cult of Liberalism is what is known as moral relativism.

Do you understand that; moral relativism, which means you get away with whatever you think in your heart you can get away with…in effect, the end justifies the means…

And you’re right back to the Jesuits; the end justifies the means. No, it doesn’t. [There were] an awful lot of dead bodies in the Inquisition because they thought the end justifies the means—Jews and Christians…

[The Cult of Liberalism] is theologically corrupt because it is Bibliologically corrupt. It denies the authority of Scripture; it ruins its own theology.

And it ends in immorality because the only way you could have gotten to this homosexual, morally relativistic garbage—which is today in our denominational structures—is if the leadership of those denominations denied the authority of  the Scriptures and Jesus Christ as Lord.

That is the only way you got there. And there is a remedy for this my brothers and sisters. The remedy is to start asking questions. Start demanding definitions of terminology. Start insisting thst people tell you what they’re giving to before you give them a dime.

Examine the people that occupy the chairs of theology in the seminaries, and if they are not given to the historic Christian faith—out with the rascals. Examine you churches, your sessions, your Baptist boards—and everything else—and find out who is in the Faith.1

What My Muslim Friends Believe and the Hajj 2012

October 27, 2012

Yes, I have Muslim friends.  They think I am lost and I think they are lost.  Volumes have been written on the differences in Muslim and Christian beliefs.  I am going to focus on a major difference. It is a distinction that has implications that affect our world today.

First, I believe that many Muslims are peaceful.  If it were not true, how could it be that so many live among the Jews in Israel?

Second, they are not saved.  Their view of Jesus is too different from the Biblical view.

Third, there are many fanatics in all belief systems.  Unfortunately, Muslim fanatics are becoming a larger segment of the religion’s population.  I wouldn’t be offended if someone called me a “fanatic for Jesus.”  At the same time, I have no desire to kill anyone because of what they believe.  It is simply not compatible with Biblical teachings.

Many Muslim fanatics are very violent.  A large number want to see the Jewish people wiped from the face of the earth.  This brings me to the subject of this post.

Who did Abraham take into the “land of Moriah” to offer up as a sacrifice as God commanded?

According to the Bible, Abraham took Isaac (Gen. 22:2).  According to Islam, Abraham took Ishmael.

This difference is one reason for the turmoil in the Middle East.

You may see a Muslim view of the Abrahamic story here.

You may see a Christian view of the Abrahamic story here.

Today is the last day of the pilgrimage to Mecca in 2012 (Hajj).  This is why I am covering this subject.  If you are a Christian, please pray for the Muslims.  They need the true Savior.

TIME TO VOTE 2012

October 24, 2012

The candidates have their signs out.  Early voting has begun.  I have had the privilege of trying to help get honest, Godly folks into local office.  Gerald Wheeler (pictured here in a photo taken today at the election commission) and I have worked together on a couple of campaigns.  No one works harder than Gerald.  He and I attend the same church and we are like-minded when it comes to the opinion that our faith and politics cannot be separated.

The Bible says: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12).

Gerald and I firmly believe this.

This year Gerald is working to get and honest, God fearing, and well-qualified man elected to the Hot Springs City Board.

This year I have been putting the little time I have available into the candidacy of Ellen Varhalla.  She is running for a Justice of the Peace position in J.P. District 8.

The goal of this post is not to pat Gerald or myself on the back.

The goal is to get you out to vote.

Study the candidates.  Support those who oppose abortion and same-sex marriage.  Support those who are fiscally conservative.

I haven’t done as much canvassing for Ellen as I would have liked.    But once again I have been saddened as I have gone door-to-door.

Ellen did her research.  The list she gave me consisted of only those who have voted in recent elections.  I am always amazed at how many houses I pass because no one in them are registered to vote.  They aren’t vacant houses.  There are obviously people living in them but they won’t be voting this year.

It is too late to register to vote this year.  If you are registered, I hope you take advantage of a freedom that was paid for by the sacrifice of so many lives.  God has blessed this nation in the past.  At the same time, how is it possible for God to bless a nation that has turned its back on him in so many ways.

I am thankful for the opportunity to be involved in the process.  My understanding is that 50% of those who call themselves “Christians” are not registered to vote.  It is not a wonder that our nation faces such huge challenges?

I would like to thank Gerald and Ellen and all of those who are trying to make our country a better place to live.

May God have mercy on and bless America.

Planned Parenthood Head Goes Full-time With Obama Campaign

October 23, 2012

“Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards has announced that she is taking a break from her job with the nation’s leading abortion provider so she can volunteer full-time to help in President Obama’s re-election effort.”

This is no surprise to me.  You may read the rest of Dave Bohon’s article, which was posted today in The New American, here.

All Over But the Crying

October 21, 2012

My friend, Mr. Bob Driggers, sent me an email awhile back.  I thought I would share it with you.

If Obama gets re-elected, “it’s all over but the crying.”

When we get 100,000,000, that’s one hundred million willing Christians to BOND together, voice their concerns and vote, we can take back America with God’s help.

Become one of the one hundred million, then lets get 200 million. It can be done by sending this email to your friends. Do the math. It only takes a willing heart and a fed up soul. God Bless America and Shine your Light on Her..

In 1952 President Truman established one day a year as a “National Day of Prayer.”

—————————————————————————————————————————-
In 1988 President Reagan designated the first Thursday in May of each year as the National Day of Prayer.

—————————————————————————————————————————
In June 2007 (then) presidential candidate Barack Obama declared that the USA “Was no longer a Christian Nation.”

(I tend to agree with him here since Americans elected such a man. -CR)

—————————————————————

This year, President Obama canceled the 21st annual National Day Of Prayer ceremony at The White House, under the ruse of “not wanting to offend anyone.”

————————————————————————

BUT…

On September 25, 2009, from 4 AM until 7 PM, a National Day of Prayer FOR THE MUSLIM RELIGION was held on Capitol Hill, beside the White House.

There were over 50,000 Muslims in D.C. that day.

HE PRAYS WITH THE MUSLIMS!

I guess it doesn’t matter if “Christians” are offended by this event – We obviously don’t count as “anyone” anymore.  The direction this country is headed should strike fear in the heart of every Christian, especially knowing that the radical Muslims believe that if Christians cannot be converted, they should be annihilated.

I’ve edited Bob’s email a bit and I feel I’ve done my part by posting this to my blog and to Facebook.  If the Christians don’t show up and vote the right way this election, I agree with Bob’s assessment. – CR

EARLY VOTING STARTS MONDAY!!!

Decision by Netanyahu, Barak to Strike Iran is Almost Final — Israel TV

October 17, 2012

“Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak have “almost finally” decided on an Israeli strike at Iran’s nuclear facilities this fall, and a final decision will be taken “soon,” Israel’s main TV news broadcast reported on Friday evening.

Channel 2 News, the country’s leading news program, devoted much of its Friday night broadcast to the issue, detailing the pros and cons that, it said, have taken Netanyahu and Barak to the brink of approving an Israeli military attack despite opposition from the Obama administration and from many Israeli security chiefs.”

It is not surprising to me that the mainstream media in Israel is discussing possible military action.  Another article I read (link below) details just how many in Israel see Mr. Obama’s talk being only that.

One may see the rest of this article here.

The article titled “Obama only ‘talks the talk'” may be seen here.

Next President Could Decide Roe’s Future

October 16, 2012

“The future makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court has received little attention this election, despite the fact that four justices are in their 70s and are divided on a whole range of critical issues — including abortion and potentially gay marriage.”

This is a quote from Michael Foust of “The Baptist Press.”

Are you one of the 50% of voting age Americans who call themselves “Christian” and are not registered to vote?  If so, may I ask why?

Stark Differences Between Human and Chimp Brains

October 15, 2012

“New research adds to an ever-lengthening stream of discoveries that confirm exactly what a Bible-believing scientist would expect—humans are distinct from chimpanzees. They should be, if they were created in the image of God, not as an imaginary pre-human primate. The study, published in American Journal of Human Genetics, investigated DNA methylation patterning in human and chimpanzee brains.1 Two observations from this research support the biblical origins of mankind.”

Why Abortion is the Most Important Issue This Election

October 13, 2012

“On Nov. 6, America will go to the polls and elect the next president as well as members of the House and Senate. In advance of this vote, most Americans believe that the chief issue facing the country is the ailing economy. I want to make the case that this thinking is wrong-headed and that the transcendent issue of this election is abortion.”

This begins an article by Denny Burk published today on the Bible Prophecy Blog.  Mr. Burk Makes a good case for the title of his article.  You can read his article HERE.

Anyone who knows me knows how I feel about abortion.  It is an unavoidable topic.

“I Will Meditate in Thy Precepts.”

October 11, 2012

“I will meditate in thy precepts.”  Ps 119:15

There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on his Word spiritual strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God, because we thus get the real nutriment out of them. Truth is something like the cluster of the vine: if we would have wine from it, we must bruise it; we must press and squeeze it many times. The bruiser’s feet must come down joyfully upon the bunches, or else the juice will not flow; and they must well tread the grapes, or else much of the precious liquid will be wasted. So we must, by meditation, tread the clusters of truth, if we would get the wine of consolation therefrom. Our bodies are not supported by merely taking food into the mouth, but the process which really supplies the muscle, and the nerve, and the sinew, and the bone, is the process of digestion. It is by digestion that the outward food becomes assimilated with the inner life. Our souls are not nourished merely by listening awhile to this, and then to that, and then to the other part of divine truth. Hearing, reading, marking, and learning, all require inwardly digesting to complete their usefulness, and the inward digesting of the truth lies for the most part in meditating upon it. Why is it that some Christians, although they hear many sermons, make but slow advances in the divine life? Because they neglect their closets, and do not thoughtfully meditate on God’s Word. They love the wheat, but they do not grind it; they would have the corn, but they will not go forth into the fields to gather it; the fruit hangs upon the tree, but they will not pluck it; the water flows at their feet, but they will not stoop to drink it. From such folly deliver us, O Lord, and be this our resolve this morning, “I will meditate in thy precepts.”

Charles Haddon Spurgeon (1834-92)
