I am not trying to sell books here.  But, I think this is an interesting video.

There is no question that Satan is alive and and actively trying to turn lives into chaos.  I haven’t posted much of Gary lately because of the prophecy conference that was recently sponsored by Prophecy in the News.  Several of the lecturers there were folks that are too on the fringe for me.

This is not a topic that I wish to discuss, but I think it is necessary in the day we live in to be familiar with some “dark side” events.  The verses of Ephesians 6 are important for our time:

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

A question is raised in the video: “Are we ready for what may happen in the near future?”  This question is not raised to frighten.  It is clear in the discussion that Christians have nothing to fear.  However, I think we could all be a bit better prepared for what may happen shortly.

  1. Chris, I believe that in the not too distant future there will be a political and economic backlash against conservative churches in the US.

I believe at some point we will have hate speech legislation and anti bullying laws which will prevent Christians from presenting the Gospel as it is written the Bible.

The initial phase will be an economic one. Like losing the church tax exempt status. I don’t even want to think what the following phase will be.

I come from a former communist country and even though I was a kid, I remember the persecution that my grandparents and parents had to endure because of the Gospel… I sincerely hope America will not head down that road.

    • Chris says:

You are full of surprises yourself, Delight.

I had no idea that you came from a former communist country.

The things that you have mentioned will probably happen during our lives. At church today my friend, Brother Curtis Rivers, and I were discussing these same subjects.

It seems that American and the world are headed down the wrong road. I know that all things are possible with God. Small revivals will break out in various places. Some are happening now in communist countries. I’m no prophet but, because many Biblical prophecies appear to be lining up, I see no revival on a large scale.

On the economic front, if the Lord tarries, I don’t think I will see a penny of Social Security funds.

These comments paint a gloomy picture. I am only sharing what I think as you have.

      God’s blessings my friend…

Great post Chris, thanks for posting it. The info is not new but very relevant. It touches on a huge sore spot with me. Namely the lack of teaching on the “Beauty of Salvation and deliverance.”

I agree with Gary Stearman when he says the body has been coddled. This is to our shame. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and of a sound mind. 2 Tim.1:7.

This spirit is not from God; it can immobilize and torment its victims , making them feel powerless and alone. The Holy Spirit gives us His love which is perfected in us. This love casts out all fear. I especially like the reference to David vs Goliath it was and always will be a spiritual battle.

Thanks again for the post very interesting and timely.
    Blessings in Jesus name

    • Chris says:

You’re welcome and thanks for your kind comments, Manny.

I also agree with Gary that we have been coddled. And I agree that we all need to be better prepared for what is coming in possibly the near future. I think we well see major negative events occur in our lifetimes if Jesus tarries.

The problems mentioned here will increase. They are not caused by God’s Spirit, as you have noted. The scripture from Ephesians makes it clear; there is a spiritual battle going on. We need God’s armor. Without it we will be lost. Praise the Lord for the power found in His Word.

      God’s blessings my friend…
