Over 10,000 Sex Offenders May Get Early Parole in California, Things “Out of Control”

My previous post has the youtube video taken down. I had to recheck this story. It is worse than I first thought. What are they thinking in California? If even half of these sex offenders are released earlier than originally planned, there will be those who aren’t in any way rehabilitated. How many will become victims because someone will be released sooner than their original sentence required? My personal opinion is that sex offence prison sentences should be doubled, not reduced.
I will be praying for my family and friends who live in a state that used to be a wonderful place. Sadly, according to this reporter, these offenders can cross state lines. How is Governor Jerry Brown thinking? He will be very unpopular with citizens from other states as the repercussions of this decision may spread afar. This is crazy.

Shame on the state of California…think of the potential victims this is causing. Shame, shame, shame.

Exactly, Pastor Jim. California used to be a cool place. It’s not anymore in my opinion. The natural beauty is still there but the environment is not good.

      • SLIMJIM says:

I agree and I’m a resident of California; I’m here for the ministry

        • Chris says:

After college, God called me back to California as well, Pastor Jim for ministry work. It is the Christian remnant that is holding the place together. In my case, I had an opportunity in a state that I’d only been to once and it took me three years of thoughtfulness and prayer before moving. I have family in California and I pray for them. I will pray for you as well.

          • SLIMJIM says:

Wow Chris thanks for sharing a bit of your own background with the state of California. Thank you Chris for your prayers

            • Chris says:

              You’re welcome, Pastor Jim.
I should have included that I grew up in S. Cal when I think it was a wonderful place to live. My parents brought us up in West Covina which is a little more that both the mountains and the beaches. I feel privileged to have lived there during those years (1958-1979). The schools were good, all of the neighbors knew one another, and you had a selection of good churches to attend. I have so many good memories. That is why it is difficult for me to read things like this.

              • SLIMJIM says:

Wow I know West Covina! Was there last week!

                • Chris says:

Very cool. I played with some great baseball players in that town. Soccer was far on the horizon when I was a kid. Baseball was king.
The church my mom directed the choir at is still there although they sold the land the Christian School was on where she taught. It’s called Immanuel First Lutheran.
My first job was at the Elks lodge there and I was the credit manager at the Wickes Furniture Store if it is still there. I haven’t been back for over 20 years but I know I could find my way around pretty easily.

I’ll repeat that last comment but not is such a slim way, Slim Jim. (Ha)
