The Jesus movement has been from everlasting (Ps. 90:2). Jesus was moving in the creation of the universe (John 1:3). Jesus was moving in Genesis 3:15.
More recently there was something called “The Jesus Movement.”
“The Jesus movement was a movement in Christianity beginning on the West Coast of the United States in the late 1960s and early 1970s and spreading primarily throughout North America, Europe, and Central America, before subsiding by the late 1980s. Members of the movement were called Jesus people, or Jesus freaks.”
I don’t usually rely on Wiki for my information but they do a pretty good job on THE JESUS MOVEMENT HERE.
I grew up in Southern California and graduated from high school in 1976. Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa was a bit of a drive for me but I tried to make it there weekly for awhile. I guess one could say I was in the middle of it all. I have some great memories. On the other hand. many who were involved in the “movement” are not followers of Jesus today. Churches, including the one in Costa Mesa, have since had problems.
Despite the problems within many churches today, the Jesus movement continues. Many young people are seeing the vanity of life spoken of by the teacher in Ecclesiastes, and know there has to be more to life than the American dream. As a teen, I watched many “successful” adults spend their New Year’s Eve drinking themselves senseless. “This is how they celebrate life?” I questioned. I already knew the Gospel message as I was raised by great Christian role models. Being raised by great Christian role models doesn’t make one a Christian. I decided then to spend my life seeking the truth.
I studied major religions and weird stuff. I found that there was one message that dwarfed all others. Everything else seemed strange and, as I’ve learned more, everything else seems strangely the same. The message that continues to outshine, surpass, exceed, outclass, outstrip, outdo, top, and transcend any other is the one found in the Bible.
The Jesus movement will continue forever (Ps. 79:13)
“Known as ‘Darwin’s Bulldog on the Continent’ and ‘the Huxley of Germany’, Ernst Heinrich Philipp August Haeckel is notorious as the scientist who perpetrated fraud upon fraud to promote the theory of evolution.”
Just shows you can’t lead a Bulldog to water and make him drink.
This “evidence for evolution” test question is quite enlightening.
Thus, as recently as 2012, false looking embryos were used to “actualize” evolution. Mr. Haeckel is still being discussed in classrooms where evolution is the only “theory” on the block, though his drawings were discredited during his lifetime.

11 Thus says the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker: “Ask Me about the things to come concerning My sons, And you shall commit to Me the work of My hands. 12 “It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My hands And I ordained all their host.” – Isaiah 45
Science is way ahead of ethics. People are doing things in labs today which would interest Heir Hitler. Can the perfect race be created?
The real question is: How far will man go to begin to believe he is a creator of sorts? The answer appears to be pretty far. Some believe we can expedite our evolution. These types of people have no common sense.
Don’t we have enough problems already?
What are the problems with cloning? This post will look at just one of the choices being made by playing God.
This article discusses CLONING’S HIGH COST. This article is 15 years old. I bet the price tag hasn’t gone down.
Where are our priorities? The millions being spent on this “research” could house a few of our homeless veterans. There are many needs that are more important than cloning anything or anybody.
I did a poll among a small group of young people (Jr. High) and was surprised by the response. Over 80% of the teenagers I talked to (about 100) thought that “creating” a T-Rex was a bad idea. Most of these youth were asked before I discussed priorities.
Here is the definition of the word “science:”
“The intellectual and practical activity encompassing the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the physical and natural world through observation and experiment.”
Did I see the word “practical” in that definition?
I wasn’t planning on bringing up the National Debt here, but the world is going broke. We need to be better stewards of what we do have control over. If our methods of stewardship don’t change soon, things will spiral out of control one way or another.
My opinion? (I know I’ve already given a few here) The Great Tribulation that Jesus mentions in Matthew 24 is right around the corner because man won’t change his methods of stewardship. Sincerely, I hope I am wrong.
It looks like the dry spell is over. By the end of the month, I will have put up nearly as many posts in March as I did in the past two years. Of course, it didn’t hurt that I had Spring Break. It gave me some time to do some searching, studying, odd-jobs that have been waiting for me, and some writing.
Looking at the RECENT POSTS at the right you can see what I’ve put up this week.
I started with END TIME STUFF, the first time I’ve put up one of John Haller’s weekly reports. He watches the worldwide media for events relating to Bible Prophecy.
BRADLEY CLARK is an American Christian artist (musician) who is as concerned as I about the events occurring in Norway.
Deborah Ann has written another excellent poem called “BE NOT DISMAYED.” I am always blessed by her blog.
“MAKE MY LIFE A PRAYER TO YOU” is a wonderful praise song written by Keith Green’s wife Melody. I stumbled on this by accident this week and was blessed out of my socks. It reminded me of my early days as a Christian.
Greg Hunter interviewed EGON VON GREYERZ on his online show called USA Watchdog. His economic forecast fits the way I see things going.
CHILDREN TAKEN FROM THEIR PARENTS, IT HAPPENS EVERYDAY IN NORWAY is the story of a Christian family who had their 5 children taken from them without warning. If you want to know more about this, go to DELIGHT IN TRUTH’S BLOG. Worldwide demonstrations take place on Saturday, April 16 starting in most protesting cities at 10:00 A.M. I have called local authorities and have approval to gather on Central Avenue across from the National Park offices near the water fountain. I only have 3 signs made but we’ll welcome as many as want to come and join us. Please educate yourself about the issue before coming or stop by and get a brochure.
What do you think about REFUGEE RESETTLEMENT in America? Make a comment about your thoughts. I have given my opinion this week.
Lastly, GOOD FRIDAY OR PASSOVER discusses the timing of the final week of Jesus’ life. I was surprised when I read the article. If you haven’t wondered how Jesus was in the grave for three days and three nights when he died on Friday and rose on Sunday, you might find your solution HERE. It makes perfect sense to me. What do you think?
We remember one of the most important weeks in World History this week. Don’t think so? Check out how much of the Gospels are dedicated to this week alone. (The creation week was pretty important, too.)
My lips will shout for joy when I sing praises to You; And my soul, which You have redeemed. – Psalm 71:23
I would like to thank George Pritchett for sending this to me. HERE is an article about this video. I have not really addressed the immigration problem on this blog and maybe a post or two will be dedicated to the subject in the future. This will have to do for now.
I have done a bit of checking on Ann Corcoran. Among other things, she is called a racist by the Southern Poverty Law Center. This is the group that calls the American Family Association a hate group. From what I know about the SPLC, Ann must be doing something right.
I had Muslim neighbors when I lived in San Francisco years ago. They seemed like nice people and even invited my wife and me to dinner in their home. We had an interesting discussion but disagreed on many things, including the true identity of Jesus Christ. The majority of Muslims are probably like those whom we met years ago. However, I know the difference between a Fundamentalist Christian and a Fundamentalist Muslim. Fundamentalist Christians will make decisions based on the words and actions of Jesus. Fundamentalist Muslims will make decisions based on the words and actions of Muhammad. This is where problems arise.
Few Christians have studied the life of Muhammad like Keith Thompson. He has debated Muslim scholars and here is his excellent documentary on Islam:
I would like to add a few words to the words of Ann Corcoran. The end of our flag salute says “with liberty and justice for all.” There are many who have come to this country to work. Many have been here for years and are not yet citizens. If there is to be justice then there should be no cutting in line at the water fountain. Those who have worked hard the longest should be the first in line for U.S. citizenship. If it were possible to determine which Syrians were Christians, would it be right to put them in front of those who have been here for years and have been productive and honest? I don’t think so. Our citizenship laws should be simple. They should allow for a reasonable annual amount of immigrants (reasonable meaning an amount that the country could assimilate without affecting the liberty of others) to be legally eligible for citizenship. Those selected should show themselves to worthy based on their time in line and their behavior. The reasonable annual amount might have to be adjusted each year according to what works.
You can join in this worldwide demonstration by coming to the peaceful protest in Hot Springs, Arkansas described a few posts back. If you can’t make it, pray for the people of Norway. For some reason, the Bradley Clark video is not coming up on my blog. Click HERE to see it.
Bradley Clark is a Christian artist, producer and co-host of the TV show Building a Difference.
Bradley Clark har sendt oss denne videoen som en appell til det norske folk om å møte opp og demonstrere til støtte for familien Bodnariu og for barns rettigheter og brudd på menneskerettigheter i barnevernssaker.
Bradley Clark has sent us this video as an appeal to the Norwegian people to meet up and demonstrate support of family Bodnariu and children’s rights and human rights violations in child welfare cases.
I try to listen to John weekly as he covers more media sources than I do. I always learn something. I’m posting him this week because in this “report” he covers many subjects. You may not agree with all that he says but I think you’ll find you haven’t wasted any time by taking a listen.
I had the great pleasure to “talk” to a few of my students from over 30 years ago when I was teaching in San Francisco, California. I remembered each of them and, happily, they remembered me. It was a short but very sweet conversation over Facebook. I don’t remember them because I taught them in my first years of teaching. I remember them because they were special young people and it appears that hasn’t changed (except for their ages.) I enjoyed connecting with Tim, Martha, Ernest, and Dorothy again.
If you saw THIS POST, you will see that I’m organizing a peaceful demonstration in Hot Springs, Arkansas in April. You can CLICK HERE to listen to my friend in California explain why. All are welcome to my protest.
HOW DID WE GET HERE states that there is scientific evidence that evolution is “operationally impossible” (a scientific term).
I put up a post about the dating of the writing of the book of REVELATION HERE.
HOW TO BE A BAD MOTHER IN NORWAY explains that, according to Norwegian society, it is almost impossible to be a good Mom. It is an interesting article from a young lady living in Norway and posted on “Frog in the Fjord.”
Oh, and if you wish to worship God right there at your computer, please listen and sing along with the post called “Holy, Holy, Holy.” This was my favorite hymn as a child and still is.
I will be leading a demonstration on Saturday, April 16. It will be a peaceful demonstration to protest the Child Protective Services of the country of Norway. If you are not aware of the dreadful abuse of government power that is occurring there, you only need to visit THIS BLOG.
The demonstration will take place just across the street from the picture above. The picture is of a sign located directly in Front of the National Park offices on Central Avenue. We will gather near the large fountain at 10:00 A.M. I will stay until 2:00 P.M. I have contacted the local authorities and they are aware of the event. If you are not familiar with this important issue, check out THIS BLOG which has recently been dedicated to this issue. If you are able to stop by for a short time, that would be great. At the moment, I am only certain of one person who will be attending (me) for the duration. I know that one family member will be able to stop by. As I am organizing this with little notice, I would be happy for anyone to come and join me.
Please inform yourself before you come. I will be handing out brochures to try and educate Americans about these problems. Demonstrations will be held in other American cities. I will list them in a future post in case someone near those cities wants to attend.
Why this effort instead of the many others I could be addressing? You have to read DELIGHT IN TRUTH’S BLOG to find out. If this system is allowed by the world, it may wind up here someday. The tragedy is already occurring and maybe it can be stopped before the problem grows to other countries.
