Adelaide Australia Protests Barnevernet

April 24, 2016

This is Daniel Popa’s Excellent speech from the worldwide protest in Adelaide on April 16th. I particularly like the point he makes about the silence of the Norwegian “church” on this issue. He also has some unique comments about Solveig Horne, the politician in charge of Barnevernet.

Thank you Daniel and thank you Adelaide.

WEEKLY WRAP-UP FOR 4-23-2016

April 22, 2016

Over 20 posts in one week? Would you believe I have others waiting in line? It has been a great week of learning for me, not only here but on Facebook and at the schools I service. There won’t be a recap of all that was covered.

I’ll wrap it up with one of the “Jokes of the day” which I tell my students.

What do you get from a pampered cow?

Norway’s Dark History with Children

April 22, 2016

Delight gives us a much needed history lesson here. I liked this post back in January of this year, but I didn’t realize the significance of it until recently.

Delight in Truth's avatarDelight in Truth

Dear friends, Delight in Truth would like to inform you about Norway’s crimes against the Lebensborn Children.  It will provide a chilling historical context to understand what is happening to Child Protective Services (CPS) in that country today.

Between 1940 and 1945, hundreds of thousands of German soldiers were part of the Nazi occupying force in Norway. The Lebensborn program encouraged Nazi soldiers to pursue relationships and have children with Norwegian women because Nazi ideology considered them a pure Aryan race.

This social experiment in eugenics produced approximately 12,000 children who were later labeled the Lebensborn Children.  Such war children were born in countries across Europe, but in Norway they have a special story that continues even today. In fact, Frida Lyngstad, one of the singers of 1970s-80s pop band ABBA is a Lebensborn Child.

During the war, the pregnant mothers and the children were given special care and were considered to…

Who Changed the World? Was it Gorbachev or Jesus?

April 21, 2016

““Transformation,” transformational,” and “transformative” are well-worn words in Mr. Gorbachev’s globalist lexicon, always signifying a supposed urgent need to deconstruct the current political/economic system of sovereign, independent nation states and the market-based economy and restructure (transform) it into a globalized, centralized, socialized “new world order.”

Mr. Gorbachev was in the news again this week. He is almost five years older than he was when THE EXCELLENT ARTICLE FEATURED HERE was written. The world has changed towards the direction Mr. Gorbachev wishes in that five years. When Mr. Gorbachev dies, his words will be remembered and the agenda that he and others are pushing will continue to become a reality.

The answer to the questions in the title above is very simple. If you have read any of this blog, you know what my answer is.

Bi-vocational pastors be warned – what you say from the pulpit on Sunday could get you fired from your public sector job on Monday

April 21, 2016

“Bi-vocational pastors be warned – what you say from the pulpit on Sunday could get you fired from your public sector job on Monday.

“Dr. Eric Walsh, a renowned public health expert who also serves as a lay minister, has filed a federal lawsuit against the Georgia Department of Public Health alleging he was terminated for delivering sermons on issues ranging from homosexuality to evolution.”

The article goes on to state:

“He was fired for something he said in a sermon,” Dys told me. “If the government is allowed to fire someone over what he said in his sermons, they can come after any of us for our beliefs on anything.”

Dys, an attorney in the case, is right.

It is a sign of the times.

New Zealand Protest is the first on April 16, 2016

April 20, 2016

“A group of about 30 protesters held up signs featuring the Norwegian flag with slogans criticising Norway’s child welfare agency the Barnevernet and others calling on the Norwegian government to release the four children of the Bodnarius, a Romanian-Norwegian family whose children were taken into government care for protection against alleged mistreatment in late 2015.”

I have had brief internet “discussions” with Paula Salisbury. She is mentioned in this news article from New Zealand. Hamilton, NZ, was the first of 60 cities across 20 countries to hold a protest on April 16th, 2016. THANKS FOR GETTING THINGS STARTED NEW ZEALAND!

“We’ve never been here in the history of the World”

April 20, 2016

Mr. Mannarino said that the stock market would go no higher (at its high) and it hasn’t.

“Money makes the world go around,” is an old saying that mostly ungodly people say. It is ironic that the love of money has created the terrible financial situation the world is in.

I’m not a financial expert, but these guys seem to have a better handle on all things financial than most.

As a Christian, I know this:

“For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” 1 Timothy 6:10

We know where the graft the two Gregs talk about is coming from.

CR

[graft, grahft] /græft, grɑft/ noun. 1. the acquisition of money, gain, or advantage by dishonest, unfair, or illegal means, especially through the abuse of one’s position or influence in politics, business, etc.

Press Release from Barnevernet Boss: Will Review Cases

April 19, 2016

For anyone involved in the demonstrations of April 16, 2016, Delight’s assessment is a must read. At times I have thought that it was too late for our world. A good thing that has come out of this entire situation is that Christians have united for a common cause worldwide. I know that non-believers have played a part in this, also. It is obvious to me, however, that Christians have had a major impact in this effort.

Solveig Horne, the politician in charge of Barnevernet put out a press release today in response to the demonstrations held against her CPS on April 16th, 2016

In a Facebook post she wrote: “We take criticism towards child welfare seriously and give the Board of Health now the mission to go through a selection of issues in child welfare”

In the press release (here) she wrote that they will take a look at emergency care orders (like the action against the Bodnariu family) and will also review single cases.

I consider this a positive response, but not nearly positive enough. Until the culture within Barnevernet is changed, the culture of “shoot first-aim later,” no real change will occur.

This is also a positive development because it shows that the April 16th effort caused turmoil inside the Norwegian CPS. They are scrambling. They are stressed. They are in damage-control mode. They…
