The Immutability of God

April 12, 2018

A Sermon (No. 1) delivered on January 7th, 1855 by C. H. Spurgeon at New Park Street Chapel, Southwark.

“I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”—Malachi 3:6

It has been said by some one that “the proper study of mankind is man.” I will not oppose the idea, but I believe it is equally true that the proper study of God’s elect is God; the proper study of a Christian is the Godhead. The highest science, the loftiest speculation, the mightiest philosophy, which can ever engage the attention of a child of God, is the name, the nature, the person, the work, the doings, and the existence of the great God whom he calls his Father. There is something exceedingly improving to the mind in a contemplation of the Divinity. It is a subject so vast, that all our thoughts are lost in its immensity; so deep, that our pride is drowned in its infinity. Other subjects we can compass and grapple with; in them we feel a kind of self-content, and go our way with the thought, “Behold I am wise.” But when we come to this master-science, finding that our plumb-line cannot sound its depth, and that our eagle eye cannot see its height, we turn away with the thought, that vain man would be wise, but he is like a wild ass’s colt; and with the solemn exclamation, “I am but of yesterday, and know nothing.” No subject of contemplation will tend more to humble the mind, than thoughts of God.

Eugene Lukjanenko is Out of Prison…Sends Message to Wings of the Wind Readers

April 5, 2018

(Comment made in the comment section of THIS POST on this blog on April 5th, 2018)

Dear friends! Thank you so much for your ongoing support!

I was released on the 23rd of March. I got my demands partly met due to my hunger strike. I would commend highly Elmley prison officials who did their best to facilitate my son visiting me in prison and negotiating with Medway. So prison officials act as human rights protectors, they simply could not understand why I was imprisoned. I need to be confidential as the process is not finished yet. You know me and my son’s aim is to be reunited. I need now to face consequences of hunger strike. Several medical tests show my body is down. Long term consequences are not clear.

I could definitely survive only with G-D s help.

I have read with disgust the outrageous “comments” of someone whose name is not clear for me- Yolande? The truth is that this person is seriously mentally ill – she even accused me in conspiring to take Prime Minister residence by force! She was sectioned several times. her illness is clearly progressing. I reported her to police, but it appeared she is well known there and was sectioned several times. I would advice her to visit GP and revise her medication. She does not worth to get any attention.

I saw my son recently and we were both very happy.

My gratitude to all!

Thank you, my dear friends!

Eugene Lukjanenko

My comment:

It is so good to hear from Eugene. Back on December 2nd, 2017, I published THIS POST.

I am late in posting information about Eugene’s release but what better way to be able to do it! I have been taking care of my ill mother and, as you might tell by the frequency of recent posts, I have been busy. This is an important story to me, however, and I was so glad to get this from Eugene today. Many of us, particularly my Facebook friends, have been wondering how Eugene is doing. It was very difficult to get much information about his situation in prison but many of us sent emails to let him know we were thinking and praying for him. Some thought he might not survive the dry hunger strike that he decided upon in prison. I encouraged others that I thought he would survive and, indeed and Praise God, he has. I particularly want to thank Laura Tucker for keeping all of us as up to date about Eugene’s situation by sharing anything that she could glean from others.

It is good to know that he was treated well in prison and I’m glad that the reason we haven’t heard much (I have checked his FB page occasionally) is that he is resting to get his strength back.

Thankfully, this story continues even if it is one that has perplexed me from the first time I heard about it. If any of you want to know more, click on the RECENT ACCOUNTS OF CHILDREN TAKEN at the top of this blog and scroll down to Eugene’s story. It needs updating badly but it helps one understand the situation at least.

The Yolande that Eugene is referring to has been asked to no longer comment here. I did some research and found that she was bothering many families with strange accusations. The claims she made against Eugene here were absurd.

I will continue to pray for Eugene and will update his situation here as time allows. He is a unique man who has gone to great lengths to try and retain custody of his son. The reasons the S.S. of England took his son from him are quite incredible.

Israel Prepares for Passover 5778

March 22, 2018

The following is a letter I received from a Christian “friend” in Israel who has asked to remain unnamed. I thought some of you might be interested in some of the practical things that go into the preparations for Passover in Israel.

Shalom!!

Happy Holiday! “Hag Sameach” literally means ‘holiday happy’ in Hebrew.

Even though Pasach (Passover) doesn’t start until the Eve of March 30th, the main greeting here in Israel now is “Hag Sameach.” Today, as I was at the grocery store, I could see the shelves being emptied where the things with ‘leven’ used to be. They let the things sell out and will not buy anything with leven in it until after Pasach. So I could not buy my soy milk today; they are already out. Anyway, everyone is preparing, cleaning their homes (probably where ‘Spring Cleaning’ came from) and washing their cars. The price to wash your car is now 50 shekels instead of 40 shekels. $2.90 more because of the holiday. I found out when I washed my car today!

It’s an exciting time to be in Israel!

Also, Christians in the ‘Holy Land’ and from around the world will be celebrating Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday. I took (a) picture on a Palm Sunday where people were celebrating by waving Palm branches and singing in their own languages as they walked the path Jesus (Yeshua) took as He rode the donkey into Jerusalem.

May our Lord bless you as you remember His love for you during this amazing season. “Hag Sameach” Hoping you have a blessed holiday!

Nisan, the first month on the Jewish calendar (according to the Torah), coincides with March-April on the civil calendar, which marks the beginning of the spring months. On the first day of Nisan, God instructed Moses, “This month shall be for you the beginning of months, the first of the month of the year” (Exodus 12:2).

This month we celebrate the 8-day holiday of Passover, from the 15th through the 22nd of Nisan. It commemorates the Jewish people’s miraculous redemption from slavery in Egypt, and the birth of the Jewish nation. We will not see a year change for the Hebrew calendar until September 10th 2018, 1 Tishrei 5779, the Rabbinical New Year.

In Israel everyone is preparing for the coming celebrations, it is during this time that the Jewish people are looking to God and remembering His blessings. He brought His people from slavery to their homeland, where He will be glorified. This is a wonderful time for us to be praying for the Jewish people to come to know His love for them and for us to seek His blessings in our own lives.

Shana Tovah (Have a Good Year)

My comment:

Some of you will be waving palm branches this Sunday as a reminder of our Lord’s entrance into Jerusalem. Christians remember the resurrection on a daily basis but it is important to know about the last week of Jesus’ journey here on Earth. Each of the gospels spend quite an amount of time on it so it must be of great value.

All Christians should be praying for the peace of Israel. In the past five days:

A Muslim resident plowed into a group of soldiers, killing two and critically injuring two others.

A 32-year-old father of four who worked as a security guard at an excavation site in the Old City, succumbed to multiple stab wounds to his torso.

The IDF destroyed two terrorist tunnels leading from the Gaza Strip into Israel. Netanyahu said, “The time has come for the International Community to realize that the financial aid given to Hamas is being used underground.” The people continue to suffer in the Gaza Strip due to lack of medical aid, electricity and water, which their Government is expected to supply.

An Israeli man was injured after he accidentally entered a Palestinian Authority-controlled town near Beitar Illit south of Jerusalem. The man, who was driving on a motorcycle, took the wrong exit, and found himself in the Palestinian town. He was attacked by rock-throwing terrorists and suffered a head injury. IDF forces were dispatched to the scene and transported him to the hospital.

There are, of course, larger forces at work plotting the destruction of the tiny little nation that God has an everlasting covenant with. Jews continue to return to the land in spite of the dangers they face from surrounding nations.

It is amazing to watch.

One thing is clear; Israel will never be destroyed. It is one thing you can take to the bank. Uh..I’m not so sure about how secure that is these days though.

An American Horror Story: Do criminals have more rights than parents in Tennessee?

February 15, 2018

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO!

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — It is pretty hard to believe that serial killers
have more rights than parents in Tennessee, but once you enter the Juvenile
Justice System, anything can happen.

And even if you do absolutely nothing wrong, your children can be taken
from you. It may sound like a ridiculous question but not when you consider
what happened to a Williamson County, Tennessee, mom.

It all started when Tori’s 3-year-old son told her something inappropriate
happened to him when he was with their father. The couple is divorced.

Tori followed the law and reported it to DCS.

“I was interrogated for two to three hours with no videotape, no attorney
present,” Harper said. “I was a little intimidated, but at that time I
still didn’t think I had done anything wrong when I realized they were
investigating me.”

Remember, there is no allegation against Tori Harper, yet DCS asked her to
surrender her kids on the spot and relinquish custody during the
investigation.

“There was no way I was going to give strangers custody of my children even
for a day or two especially with that going on,” Harper said. “I wanted my
children.”

The next day she said DCS secretly went to Williamson County Juvenile Judge
Sharon Guffee and asked for an ex-parte order to get custody of the kids.
The judge signed the order even though Tori wasn’t present to defend
herself.

DCS claimed Tori Harper was mentally unstable…

“I’ve never had a speeding ticket,” Harper said. “I have no mental health
history. I’m a good mom. I love my kids. I was a room mom that year for my
oldest son.”

Her lawyer, family law specialist Connie Reguli, said this is standard
practice, and it is nasty stuff.

“For people who don’t know what e x-parte means it is behind the back,”
Reguli said. “They knew Tori. They certainly had an opportunity to get it
before the court. Instead they get an ex-parte order to get her children in
custody of DCS. DCS can do whatever they want to them. They obviously
didn’t want Tori or her lawyer there.”

The only consolation was that Tori’s parents would be the foster parents
during the investigation. When they all went back to court, Judge Guffee
ordered Harper and her parents be drug tested eventhough none of them had
any drug history.

Her father couldn’t get to the drug test because he was keeping the kids
and didn’t have car seats. Harper said DCS locked herself and her mom in a
room after their drug tests and told them they would send a squad car out
with the boys’ car seats so Harper’s dad could go take the drug test.

Once police finally arrived at the home, they brought a new court order
signed by Judge Guffee giving DCS custody of the kids, who were going into
foster care that night.

“The things that these people did to our family was so against our fourth
amendment rights,” said Tori’s dad Tom Naïve. “I said boys you got to go
with the policeman and so I watched them walk to that police car and get in
the back of the police car. All I could do is go inside and blow up and
blow up. I was helpless.”

The oldest boy Ethan still remembers that night.

“I was scared,” Ethan said. “When I got in the car, I started crying. They
told me my grandpa didn’t want me. He had never told me that. It hurt my
heart.”

This family without a single allegation of abuse or neglect or even a
failed drug test lost their two boys to DCS.

“There is nobody that knows me that would say there is anything I love more
than being a mom,” Harper said. “But one thing I know is I am a good mom, a
good mom and I love my kids so much.”

So what was DCS and the court hinging this removal on? That Tori Harper was
mentally unstable. She got an independent psychological evaluaton and
passed flying colors; doctors, dentists, records, report cards, high test
scores formed a lazer-focused rebuttal to DCS and Williamson County
Juvenile court.

DCS dismissed the case and Judge Guffee returned the children to Harper.
The children were in state custody for two months.

Family law attorney Connie Reguli said this story may sound shocking, but
it is common.

“Criminals have more rights and protections than parents,” Reguli said.
“Once they have your children in the system they are in total control…and
while this may have a happy ending. There are scars and trauma, real
trauma.”

“So when i got my son back, keep in mind he always held my hair when I
would sing him to bed every night,” Harper said. “Well when he was in
foster care he was so upset that he would pull his own hair in bed, and he
ended up with a big bald spot.”

Her son Andrew now believes in monsters and holds his mom’s hair, praying
they will never come back.

DCS said the law prohibits it from commenting on specific juvenile case but
pointed out that all of its actions were approved by a judge. Tennessee
judges are also prohibited from discussing cases.

My comment:

This insanity is not only happening in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, the UK, and other countries, the UNITED STATES is seeing similar cases. We need to be vocal and vigilant. Christians are praying on so many fronts these days. This blog has focused more than a bit on the sad CPS situation in several European countries. Maybe I have not been good enough to express the problem in my own nation. If stories like this keep happening, there will be more posts like this one. At least Tori has her kids back, something that rarely happens in Norway. It’s bad enough to have American children stolen by foreign governments, as in the Amy Jakobsen case, but here, in the U.S.? I recently talked to a good American who knows of someone who had their child stolen from them here years ago. Abuse of children is too important to ignore. I will continue to try and alert people about this problem.

The Truth about Transgender and Gender Identity

February 6, 2018

In a chapter about a difficult subject that all churches must think about on a practical level (how the Holy Spirit works in His people) Paul states this:

33 “…for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.” 1 Cor. 14

This video says nothing about God. It simply states the Biological facts about what a person is. If we can’t even get the “what” right, it stands to reason that there will be a great amount of confusion.

We are born male or female, just as God intended. Much of society has gotten this seemingly simple thing horribly wrong and the consequences can and have been devastating.

I want to make it crystal clear that I harbor no ill will against transgenders except that they should not try to sway others to experiment in the same way. The stakes are too high and the research is unbelievably sketchy in spite of how fast the approval of the experiment is occurring. As articulated in the video below, the swift growth of the acceptance of medical intervention is happening without adequate study. I have major issues with those who are performing medical interventions like these with the insufficient amount of research that has been done on this topic. Who is benefiting from such “treatments?”

I am saddened but not surprised by recent figures dealing with transgender suicide:

“Researchers found that transgender adults were 14 times more likely to think about suicide and 22 times more likely to attempt suicide than rates in the general population.” SOURCE

I wish I had an answer for this problem. I do think people would learn to accept, with the help of God, what they were born to be if they had a clearer understanding of God’s Word.

I would love for this problem to go away but it only seems to be getting more prevalent. I think it is a sad sign of our times. Our technology is way ahead of our wisdom and understanding. May God help those who are dealing with this issue.

What is the Barnevernet?

January 18, 2018

NOTE: 2 OF THE 3 EXPERTS SPEAK IN ENGLISH, THE FIRST IN NORWEGIAN WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES

For the past couple of years, this blog has been involved in helping bring awareness to an evil system of “Child Protection Services” in Norway called the Barnevernet.

Sadly, many of the intellectuals in Norway are silent. More difficult to believe, the vast majority of the Christians and Christian leaders are silent. Since these two say little, of course, the vast majority of the media does nothing. Here are a few highly educated Norwegians who understand well what is happening in their country and they are not afraid to talk about it. There is a similar problem in the U.S. but we still have due process for the most part. If parts of the U.S. CPS system ever becomes as much of an industry as the Barnevernet (and some might argue that certain offices already have), I hope a much better percentage of intellectuals come forward in the U.S. than we have seen in Norway.

Lastly, but happily, I am able to note that one of the people so involved in trying to help people see the truth has made more than several comments on this blog. Professor Marianne H. Skanland, featured in this short video, is as well aware of the problem as anyone. After hearing many people speak about the situation in Norway, I feel she has the best view of the situation that I have heard. I have learned a lot from her.

I wish the people of Norway the best. In the video, Marianne notes two positive things that have happened to help those affected cruelly by the Barnevernet. The first is the internet. I wholeheartedly agree with her. This issue is getting quite a good amount of attention online. The second is international protests that have put pressure on Norwegian leaders. Sadly, this has waned in the streets of other countries, but there has been a noticeable increase in social media activity. It has been slow to develop but more people are learning of this problem daily.

Marianne has always warned me that this is a worldwide problem, not just something happening in Norway. She has referred me to more than one good book on “psychology” in America. The book that I read was authored by an American where “the author exposes the misguided beliefs and shoddy practices used by most psychotherapists. He examines the pop psych beliefs and explores the debilitating effects they have on everyone.” (Quote from the Amazon ad) The Entire title of the book summarizes its point nicely: House of Cards, Psychology and Psychotherapy built on Myth.

People in all nations need to be vigilant. Our children’s lives, thus our future, is at stake. Even if this wasn’t a “future” problem, we must be kind enough to treat our children with the dignity and understanding they deserve.

Breastfeeding not allowed? The case of Amy J.

December 21, 2017
Bjorn Korf and Amy Jakobsen

Written by Björn Korf

Amy J. is an American citizen who lives in Norway. In July 2013 her worst nightmare began. Without any warning, the Norwegian Child Welfare Services known as ‘Barnevernet’ accompanied by police knocked at her door, saying that her 19-month-old son Tyler had to be taken to a hospital for an examination immediately.

What happened? In the weeks leading up to the taking of Tyler, the young mother was increasingly concerned about the growth curve of her 18-month-old son. Tyler did not yet want to move to more solid food but instead continued to prefer breastmilk. Tyler was Amy’s first child, so she lacked the experience to know that children can develop quite individually. But, being a concerned mother, Amy even took Tyler for medical check-ups three times a month in order to monitor the growth process very closely. Then, came the summer. Amy went on a vacation with Tyler to America for two weeks and visited friends and relatives.

But, as soon as they returned back to Norway, the child welfare service, together with the police came to her house, saying that Tyler must be examined immediately in a hospital. Amy found out later that someone had alerted the youth welfare office in order to maliciously harm her. Being completely overwhelmed by the situation Amy agreed to go to a hospital with them. Also, Kevin M., the Norwegian father of the child came along. At the hospital a doctor diagnosed Tyler as “slightly underweight.” The boy would have had to weigh 10 kg, the doctor said. But Tyler weighed only 9.6 kg, which is actually not a reason for a concern according to the weight charts. The doctor also criticized that Amy was still breastfeeding her son.

Instead of offering advice to improve the nursing, the employees of the child welfare office now wanted to intervene on the basis of the medical diagnosis and remove the child from the mother. This led to a verbal confrontation which the father filmed with his smartphone. It’s a scene that can now be found on Youtube. “When will I see my son again?” Asked Kevin M. “We cannot tell you that yet,” replied one of the employees of the child welfare office. Finally, Kevin was ejected from the hospital as the argument got louder and louder.

What followed next was like a scene from a Hollywood movie. Kevin went back to the hospital and put on a doctor’s outfit. In disguise, he was able to go to room where his little son Tyler was taken in the meantime. He took his son unnoticed, left the building in a hurry, and drove around the area aimlessly, knowing that these might be the last moments with his son. Finally, he was stopped by several police cars. One police officer on the roadside even threw a big stone at the car, which nearly hit his child.

Kevin was then detained for one night for attempted child abduction. He was released the next day, because a judge realized that Kevin was the biological father and he still had parental rights. However, little Tyler remained in the care of the Norwegian child welfare office. For the time being the parents still had the right to visit and occasionally see Tyler – in a police station behind double-locked doors. But, a year later the visitation rights were cancelled. The authorities saw a potential abduction risk as Amy is an American citizen and they didn’t want her to take Tyler to America. In the following court trials this was also the main argument for removing parental rights from both her and Kevin. On September 22, 2014, Amy saw her son for the last time. Up to now both she and Kevin don’t know where Tyler is and how he is doing.

In order to hide the child’s new whereabouts, the authorities changed Tyler’s name twice. At the age of four years old, Tyler already had three different names. And, why did this happen? The Norwegian Child Welfare Services stated that they acted only in the Child’s best interest. But, how can such traumatic experiences serve the best interests of a child at such a young age? Especially, in the first years of life, the love and affection of the biological mother are known to be of great importance for the healthy development of a child.

Meanwhile, Amy has gone through all legal options in Norway to get her son back. In the spring of 2016, the case was rejected by the Norwegian Supreme Court. But, Amy doesn’t want to give up. Through a Christian initiative in Vienna / Austria, Amy was able to get in contact with international lawyers. They looked at her case documents, discovered Human Rights violations and helped her to file the case to the European Court of Human Rights. Also, the Christian initiative in Vienna showed further interest in the case. They launched a campaign on Facebook in order to raise awareness for Amy. They challenged people to post a selfie of themselves holding a poster which stated, “Norway, return Tyler to Amy”.

It is still uncertain how the case of Amy J. will end up. Once again, a family in Norway was torn apart for no good reason. Once again, a child in Norway was sentenced to extreme traumatic experiences. And again, we are supposed to believe that it served the welfare of the child. After the many worldwide protests and media reports, the government in Norway has repeatedly stated that it wants to look more closely into their child care system. But, so far Norway clearly fails to implement anything.

My comment: Amy’s is one of the three cases I am following in “Recent Accounts of Children Taken” at the top of this blog. Her story is bizarre yet, she is not unlike so many others in Norway.
I have known Bjorn for awhile now. I respect his continued efforts to help families like Amy’s.

Eugene Lukjanenko is in Prison

December 2, 2017

Eugene is a loving father trying to do a good job of raising his son and his “reward” is eight months of prison in England.  I guess he’s similar to John Bunyan of The Pilgrim’s Progress in that regard.

Both men wound up in English prisons for moral convictions.  Mr. Bunyan wouldn’t stop his open air preaching and Mr. Lukjanenko cannot live comfortably after his son was stolen from him by the British S.S. (Social services).

It is an amazing though not uncommon story these days.  One of the reasons Eugene’s son was taken from him the second time (yes, there was a first time and his son was returned) is that Eugene’s Father was imprisoned in a concentration camp in WWII.

Bizarre.

The reason he is in prison now is because Eugene continued to try and make his case via social media and the English judge wouldn’t tolerate that any longer.

I guess the judge is trying to quiet this man.  As I see it, the judge will fail in this endeavor as I have been watching the well known Russian pianist make his case for months now.

He has been threatened with prison many times because he has done everything legally possible to see his son.  And there was that time he climbed on the roof of some “important” building to share his story via his mighty bullhorn.  I give him bonus points for creativity, that’s for sure.

I’ve lost track of how many hunger strikes Eugene has been on.

Eugene is aware of the effects social media had on a similar case in Norway.  The case got publicity around the world and the family was finally reunited and has fled Norway to be able to raise their children in peace.  Social media had a huge impact on spreading that story and Eugene hopes his case will get the same kind of attention.  The Norwegian “Child Protective Services” attempted to split up a very nice family, the Bodnarius, completely.  Each child was to be sent to live in a different foster home.  If you live in Norway (and apparently the U.K.), the threat of having your child taken from you for little reason is something many citizens fear.  Parents from Norway have been living under this fear of such inhumanity for years. How do I know this? I know this because they’ve told me.

In case you didn’t know, this problem is a common occurrence in the U.K., Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and the U.S. to name a few.  Where I live in the U.S, reunification is usually the goal when a parent is separated from a child by the Child Protective Services.  Sadly, this is not always the case in all of America.  Americans seem to have better chances of getting their child back if they follow all requests of them, however, than the countries I’ve listed.  It is a very sad situation.

I have sent Eugene two emails.  My guess is, because so many know of his case now, that he is getting a good amount of mail.  I will put a link at the bottom of this post if anyone wants to communicate with Eugene.

The above video, in it’s original form, was part of the reason Eugene’s son was taken a second time. All one can see of Eugene’s son is him playing the piano a bit.

If you wish to know more about this situation, you can click on the link at the top of this page called “Recent Accounts of Children Taken” where I’m following three tragic stories. If you scroll down, you will see that Eugene’s is the second situation I am following. Or, if you have facebook, you can check out Eugene’s FB page. Just type his name in the FB search as it appears in the title above.

To send Eugene an email, this site is the one I’m using and it seems to be working ok for now:

http://emailaprisoner.com/

Emails cost 40p and you need to add £5 minimum on the account. Its very easy to set up and all you need is his name and prison number.

If you want to send a note to encourage Eugene Lukjanenko, all you need is:

1) His name
2) His prisoner number which is A6309EC
3) The prison (which is on a scroll down). It is ELMLEY.

If nothing else, please keep Eugene and his son in your prayers.

For those of you who think I have an active imagination or that you aren’t getting the full story here, please read this recent article about the UK which was shared to this post by Professor Marianne H. Skanland:

Corrupt practices disquised as child-welfare campaigns

Corrupt practices disguised as child-welfare campaigns
