EVER HEARD OF THE BURNING MAN GATHERING?

September 7, 2013

I found this story at a blog that I recently became aware of.  It is called “M’Kayla’s korner” and has some very interesting articles, like this one, there.  I am putting her blog on my blogroll if you would like to check it out.

This is one very strange event:

‘Burning Man’ Draws 68,000 To America’s Largest Pagan Cult Gathering

My comment:

The New Age movement is alive and well and moving into the churches at an alarming rate.  Check out your church’s statement of faith.  Make sure that it coincides with the truth of God’s Word.  Unfortunately, solid Bible teaching is getting harder to find.  Seek and ye shall find.

EVOLUTION AND GOD

September 1, 2013

There are so many reasons why we have gotten away from the truth of God’s Word.  The Evolution issue is a big one.

My son worked very hard in high school to get his college tuition minimized.  He is in his freshman year and is taking a Biology and Physiology class.  Here are a few of the chapter titles in his text:

“How Populations Evolve”

“How Biological Diversity Evolves”

“The Evolution of Microbial Life”

“The Evolution of Animals”

Chapter 14 ( a favorite number of mine) begins with “The Origin of the Species.”

Anyone who has read this blog knows where I stand on this issue.  The Bible says that “God created the heaven and the earth.”  I believe it by faith.  I also believe there is a great deal of evidence to back this belief.  Evolutionists may not always admit it but they must come to their THEORY with a great deal of faith.  This video shows several Biology students being asked very simple questions that they can’t answer.  When they do answer, they have not really dealt with the issue.

SPROUL/STEIN INTERVIEW

This is very interesting interview. The entire movie “Expelled” has been put on YouTube by a Muslim.  I had it here, but I don’t feel right about showing an entire movie without those who have worked so hard on it getting something from it.  HERE is a section of the movie that I’ve shown in another post.

Here is a link dealing with “Intelligent Design:”

There are many other posts on this blog about this issue.  To see them all, click on “creation” in the category section on the right side of this blog.  Here a few of my favorites:

GOD OF WONDERS

EVOLUTION CONTROVERSY’S OUTDATED ONE-SIDED EXPOSURE

IS THE AGE OF THE EARTH A SIDE ISSUE?

DOES A GOOD GOD EXIST?

We need to give our young people the facts and let them come to their own conclusions.  Listen to some of the students in the first video.  They sound brainwashed to me.  I think that man knows that there is a God, but rebellion closes one’s eyes to the truth.

This section of scripture From Romans 1 (Bible Gateway) describes the results of a continued turning away from the truth:

Unbelief and Its Consequences

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.

24 Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them. 25 For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

MAYWAGE

August 29, 2013

I know this is a very serious subject.  But I can’t refrain from sharing this humorous part of a movie called “The Princess Bride” that deals with marriage.  “Buttercup” is being forced to marry “Prince Humperdink.”  The priest doing the ceremony is quite the character.  What he says is actually good.  It’s the way he says it that, if you are in a mood, may get a giggle out of you.  We could all use a good laugh these days.

Why a post about marriage?  Well, today is my 32nd wedding anniversary.  Have you read Proverbs 31?  It describes a Godly wife.  Somehow, 32 years ago, a 22-year-old-know-little married a young lady similar to the one described in Proverbs 31.  I have been very blessed.

There are mixed feelings.  As I checked Flickr for a good photo to accompany this post, sadly many were of homosexuals getting “married.”  The fact that almost every decent picture was copy written tells me that marriage is still important to some.  I had to take my own picture.

You don’t need me to tell you that we live in contradictory times.  We have some of the best health care the world has ever known, yet we kill the unborn.  We are supposedly evolving into something better, at the same time, all appearances make it look like we are as we have always been: sinners.  Advances in technology screeeeeeem forward.   Ethical standards lurrrrrrrrrrrrrch backward.  There is a scripture that makes me think we are nearing the second coming of our Lord.

It is:

Daniel 12:4

“But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.”

————-

I received an email from a friend of my wife wishing us a happy anniversary.  She is one of many of my friends who thinks Jesus may return in our lifetime.  I thought He would be here long ago.  If He does, praise be to God.  If not, I’ll be content to spend the rest of my days with one of the greatest blessings of my life.

HELLO HOT SPRINGS! I HAVEN’T FORGOTTEN YOU.

August 15, 2013

It is time, once again, to get involved in local “politics.”  I was at a recent Watchmen of Garland County meeting and the subject was Oaklawn.  Oaklawn is the local racetrack and casino.  It appears that $40 million a month is not enough.  At least that’s the number that I heard from a friend who knows quite a bit about what Oaklawn takes in.  There is word in the air that another expansion is in the works.  I don’t know how large the plans are, but one more “machine of skill” (That’s a short phrase that some of those who benefit from the casino use.) is too much for me.

The plan is to show up at the City Board meeting on Tuesday, September 3rd, and voice our views on any expansion.  I have already requested FOI information and plan to share it at the meeting unless there are so many who have had their lives ruined by a gambling problem willing to speak that time runs out.

I’ve always viewed gambling as nothing more than a poor tax.  From a Christian viewpoint, the Bible speaks of being content with what one has.

Admittedly, I am not an angel when it comes to gambling.  I’ve gambled thrice, that I can remember in the last 30 years.  A boss of mine taunted me to gamble, knowing he would lose, just to see if I would gamble.  I finally relented and won $20 (I think).  He was so unhappy that I took him up on it that he paid me in pennies.  I turned around and bet another employee about something that I knew I would lose and he ended up with the tainted gambling money.  Another time, on a work related outing, I was given money to gamble.  I ended up winning at a black jack table.  I felt so bad I’ll never set foot in another casino as long as I live if I can help it.

If you live in or near Hot Springs, I hope you show up at the meeting on September 3rd.  Even if you don’t like to speak in front of people, it would be nice to fill the room with concerned citizens.

Chris Reimers

The photo above is not suggesting that Oaklawn allows children to gamble.  My point is that many children are affected adversely by the gambling industry.  There are many Dads who wind up like the guy below because there are casinos in town.

HERE is a link to an article about gambling sent to me by my friend, Kassey.

The article by Science Digest finishes with this statement:

The authors conclude: “Our findings indicate that there is a relationship between age and pathological gambling: the older the patient, the more gambling-related problems the patient has. Intervention during early manifestations of the complex problem that is pathological gambling is essential for successful treatment planning.”

Kassey writes a blog called “Ponder Anew.”

94-YEAR-OLD BILLY GRAHAM’S WARNING FOR AMERICA

August 5, 2013

One of the posts that appears here quite often in the top ten is THIS POST ABOUT BILLY GRAHAM.  Over two years after the “top tenner” appeared, I followed up with THIS POST.

Now, THIS ARTICLE, opens with the following sentence:

“’God’s prophet’ – famed evangelist Billy Graham – is praying America will experience another ‘great spiritual awakening.’”

I beg to differ.  I think Billy Graham was a great evangelist, but I don’t think he is a prophet.

Opinions, opinions; we all have them.  I admire Mr. Graham for trying to further the kingdom.

The article promotes a nationwide day of prayer, repentance and fasting on Sept. 11.

How can any Christian not be for that?

THE ARTICLE goes on to state:

“Graham compared America to the ancient city of Nineveh, the lone superpower of its time. When the prophet Jonah finally traveled to Nineveh and proclaimed God’s warning, the people repented and escaped judgment…”

The piece mentions a New York best-selling book entitled “The Harbinger.”   Rabbi Jonathan Cahn’s book describes several “harbingers” that relate the 911 event to the story of the Assyrians.

I studied the Assyrians when I was in college.  They could indeed be considered the world’s first “terrorists” as the book claims (if I remember correctly).  To be honest, I couldn’t finish the book and I can’t really put my finger on why.  I think it was the emphasis placed on the 911 tragedy that finally made me close the book.

There is a question that I have that maybe you can help me with.  The story of Jonah and the repentance of the inhabitants of Nineveh is well-known.  It is followed, approximately 250 years later, by another “minor” prophet named “Nahum.”  Nahum contains four major prophecies concerning the fall of the great Assyrian empire.  I did a report on this in college.  The historical facts line up perfectly with the proclamations of the little-known prophet.  Nahum, like a true prophet of God, did not err in the slightest.  His final words of judgement are:

Nahum 3:19

New American Standard Bible (NASB)

19 There is no relief for your breakdown,
Your wound is incurable.
All who hearabout you
Will clap their hands over you,
For on whom has not your evil passed continually?

My question is:

Are we closer to the Nineveh of Jonah’s day, or closer to the Nineveh of Nahum’s day?

I have a leaning, but your opinion is the one is seek.  Please comment.

THE BLACK AWAKENING

August 3, 2013

I am not trying to sell books here.  But, I think this is an interesting video.

There is no question that Satan is alive and and actively trying to turn lives into chaos.  I haven’t posted much of Gary lately because of the prophecy conference that was recently sponsored by Prophecy in the News.  Several of the lecturers there were folks that are too on the fringe for me.

This is not a topic that I wish to discuss, but I think it is necessary in the day we live in to be familiar with some “dark side” events.  The verses of Ephesians 6 are important for our time:

The Armor of God

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

A question is raised in the video: “Are we ready for what may happen in the near future?”  This question is not raised to frighten.  It is clear in the discussion that Christians have nothing to fear.  However, I think we could all be a bit better prepared for what may happen shortly.

IS THE POPE A FALSE PROPHET?

July 30, 2013

Before I begin to try and give an answer to this difficult question, I need to make a few things clear. I am not trying to pick on Catholics here.   This question was raised by a Muslim friend online (His online name is Vladek and lives in California).

Matthew 7:1 is clear.  It states:

“Judge not, that ye be not judged,” or “Do not judge lest ye be judged yourselves.”

I believe this verse is referring to salvation.  Does it mean that I cannot judge what is right or wrong?  If this were the case, why has God given us the 10 commandments?

I will not judge another person’s soul; God alone is in that position.  I will judge another belief system to see if it lines up with the truth of scripture.

I have Catholic and Muslim friends.  I am always curious to listen to what they have to say.  One of my Catholic friends summed up the difference between Catholics and Protestants nicely.  It is quite simple. Protestants believe in salvation by faith alone through grace (Eph. 2:8-9).  Catholics believe that works and faith are necessary for salvation.  It is quite a difference and caused a huge split called the Reformation.

This link gives us a view of a prophecy given by a Catholic Pope.

The Catholic Encyclopedia States:

The objects of prophecy may also be viewed in respect to humanknowledge:

when an event may be beyond the possible natural knowledge of the prophet, but may be within the range of humanknowledge and known to others who witness the occurrence, as, for instance, the result of the battle of Lepanto revealed to St. Pius V.

On the day of the Battle of Lepanto, 7 Oct., 1571, he was working with the cardinals, when, suddenly, interrupting his work opening the window and looking at the sky, he cried out, “A truce to business; our great task at present is to thank God for the victory which He has just given the Christian army”. He burst into tears when he heard of the victory, which dealt the Turkish power a blow from which it never recovered. In memory of this triumph he instituted for the first Sunday of October the feast of the Rosary, and added to the Litany of Loreto the supplication “Help of Christians“. He was hoping to put an end to the power of Islam by forming a general alliance of the Italian cities Poland, France, and all Christian Europe, and had begun negotiations for this purpose when he died of gravel, repeating “O Lord, increase my sufferings and my patience!” He left the memory of a rare virtue and an unfailing and inflexible integrity. He was beatified by Clement X in 1672, and canonized by Clement XI in 1712.

Does this example make the Pope a false prophet?

I don’t think it does, and I can’t find an example where a Pope could be called a false prophet.  If anyone can find such an instance, please comment.

There are other examples of prominent Catholics who are identified as prophets.  Three examples are listed HERE.  None of them are Popes as far as I can tell.

I found more than a few articles, the first from a Catholic source that states that the Pope is not a prophet.

Re: Is the Pope a Prophet?

Here’s a definition of the term for purposes of this discussion:

PROPHET
The biblical term “nabi” means one who spoke, acted, or wrote under the extraordinary influence of god to make known the divine counsels and will. Yet commonly associated with this primary function to proclaim the word of God, a prophet also prophesied by foretelling future events. His role, then, was to both proclaim and to make the proclamation credible. From www.catholicreference.net:
All items in this dictionary are from Fr. John Hardon’s Modern Catholic Dictionary

“When the pope speaks ex cathedra on matters of faith and morals–then he is speaking with the divine guarantee that his words will be error-free. This is rather a negative guarantee–he will speak no error–than a positive guarantee–that he will speak all truth.

I don’t see this as quite fitting with the definition of prophet. Further, we don’t refer to the pope as prophet.”

(I will be referring to this statement later. – CR)

He is the false prophet HERE.

THIS LINK is a bit outdated and mentions Joseph Aloisius Ratzinger, or Benedict XVI who was born in Germany.  I found the link interesting but inconclusive.

Here are a few other observations on the subject:

The false prophet is the pope or America HERE.

It won’t be long before we know if so HERE.

and

“Actually, any Pope is already an antichrist and a false prophet. It goes with the job description.” HERE

To quote this last source:

“The new Pope is Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio of Argentina. He is a son of Italian parents so some think that qualifies him as being a Roman. This Pope took on the name Francis after St. Francis of Assisi who some say was once named Francesco di Pietro (Peter) di Bernardone. They see some significance in that. I do not.”

This fits with this next link:

Here is a link on the so-called “Prophecy of the Popes.”  This is a popular view among many evangelicals and I may be wrong, but I disagree with St. Malady.

A rough but interesting conversation can be seen HERE.

If you Google “Is the Pope a false Prophet?”, you will get many links like these.  To be fair, Here is a link, complete with the 4 things you will need in the last days, that says that Pope Francis is NOT the Antichrist.

So, What do I think for what it’s worth?

I don’t think a good case has been made that any Pope is a false prophet.  I do, however, believe that many popes have been false teachers.

I go back to a quote earlier in this post:

From Fr. John Hardon’s Modern Catholic Dictionary:

“When the pope speaks ex cathedra on matters of faith and morals–then he is speaking with the divine guarantee that his words will be error-free. This is rather a negative guarantee–he will speak no error–than a positive guarantee–that he will speak all truth.”

Papal infallibility is a dogma of the Catholic Church which states that, in virtue of the promise of Jesus to Peter, the Pope is preserved from the possibility of error[1] “when, in the exercise of his office as shepherd and teacher of all Christians, in virtue of his supreme apostolic authority, he defines a doctrine concerning faith or morals to be held by the whole Church“.[2]

This doctrine was defined dogmatically in the First Vatican Council of 1869–1870, but had been defended before that, appearing already in medieval tradition and becoming the majority opinion at the time of the Counter-Reformation.[3]

This is what one finds when clicking on the Counter-Reformation.[3]

The Counter-Reformation (also the Catholic Revival[1] or Catholic Reformation) was the period of Catholic revival beginning with the Council of Trent (1545–1563) and ending at the close of the Thirty Years’ War (1648), which is sometimes considered a response to the Protestant Reformation.

So, sometime in the mid-16 century Papal Infallibility was the majority position.

HERE is a good source of information.

Pope Boniface VIII in the Bull Unam Sanctam of 1302 is mentioned HERE.

1.     ^ “We declare, say, define, and pronounce that it is absolutely necessary for the salvation of every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff”.

This is in the footnotes of this LINK.

I believe this is false teaching because it can be found nowhere in scripture.

Therefore, false teaching had entered the Church at least as early as 1302.

What the Bible says

“These things I am writing to you that you may know that you have eternal life…” (1 John 5:13)

What the Bible does NOT say

“These things I am writing to you that when you obtain the infallible interpretations thereof you may know that you have eternal life…”

Clicking on the LINK above will show you a chart with more of what the Bible does and does not say.

THIS LINK discusses the dangers of false teaching and Bible verses related to it.

2 Peter 2:1 states:

“But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves.”

Is this verse, and verses like it, limited to the Catholic Church?  It is not.  There are false teachers in Protestant churches as well as in the many false religions of the world.

Have I stated that no Catholics will be in heaven?  That would be a huge presumption; the same as if I believed that all Protestants are saved.  I believe I know Catholics whom I will see in heaven.  I also think that I have met Protestants who may not be there.  Again, I am in no position to make God’s judgments as stated above.

This has not been an exhaustive study.  One could spend their life on this question alone.  I am not up to that task, but I wanted to answer my Muslim friend.  He now has my opinion.

May God bless all who study His Word in an effort to discover the truth.

WHATEVER YOU DID FOR THE LEAST OF THESE BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF MINE…

July 25, 2013

The following story is fictional.  The reason I have posted it is to illustrate that today’s churches are not nearly sensitive enough to the needs of the poor and others.

CR

—————————————–

Pastor Jeremiah Steepek transformed himself into a homeless person and went to the 10,000 member church that he was to be introduced as the head pastor at that morning. He walked around his soon to be church for 30 minutes while it was filling with people for service, only 3 people out of the 7-10,000 people said hello to him. He asked people for change to buy food – NO ONE in the church gave him change. He went into the sanctuary to sit down in the front of the church and was asked by the ushers if he would please sit n the back. He greeted people to be greeted back with stares and dirty looks, with people looking down on him and judging him.As he sat in the back of the church, he listened to the church announcements and such. When all that was done, the elders went up and were excited to introduce the new pastor of the church to the congregation. “We would like to introduce to you Pastor Jeremiah Steepek.” The congregation looked around clapping with joy and anticipation. The homeless man sitting in the back stood up and started walking down the aisle. The clapping stopped with ALL eyes on him. He walked up the altar and took the microphone from the elders (who were in on this) and paused for a moment then he recited,

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

‘The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

After he recited this, he looked towards the congregation and told them all what he had experienced that morning. Many began to cry and many heads were bowed in shame. He then said, “Today I see a gathering of people, not a church of Jesus Christ. The world has enough people, but not enough disciples. When will YOU decide to become disciples?”

He then dismissed service until next week.

Being a Christian is more than something you claim. It’s something you live by and share with others.

======================================

I would like to thank Chris Henry, a former student of mine, for sharing this with his Facebook friends.  Unfortunately, I think the majority of “Christian” churches in America would do the same.

THE HISTORICAL CASE FOR PAUL: A CRITIQUE OF MUSLIM ARGUMENTS

July 14, 2013

I love Muslims.  That’s why I have posted this video.  I wish them to come to know the true Jesus, the One who died, rose from the dead, and is alive today.

I don’t completely agree with everything Keith believes, but his documentaries are outstanding for such a young Christian.

I hope you learn something from this documentary. I did.

IS CHUCK MISSLER OR HERESCOPE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ALIEN ISSUE?

July 7, 2013

(3-26-16 Update: Many Christians are spending a lot of time on issues like the one discussed here. Do you agree with the Herescope posts or with Chuck Missler? In spite of all the concerns put forward by the Herescope article, no author’s name is given that I can find. As far as I can tell, the author is the “Discernment research group.” I think an article with so many footnotes, as is found on the Herescope site, should name the author or authors. It is properly footnoted, however, and appears well-researched.)

“As one who was very much caught up in this new wave of thought, I am in a unique position to evaluate this unusual book. I believe this book by Chuck Missler and Mark Eastman may well prove to be the most significant book of our times. It could also prove to be the most critical book you have ever read personally. The conclusions the authors carefully develop may alter your own entire world-view in ways that may significantly affect your personal destiny.”[1]
-By Sarah H. Leslie

This quote is from the same Sarah H. Leslie who helped Ken Silva write THIS POST for Appraising Ministries.  Confused already?  Well, so am I.  HERE is the “about” to Appraising Ministries.  It’s creator, Pastor Ken Silva, is very ill as I write this and needs prayer from the Christian community.  I am a reader of AM and have learned quite a bit from his blog.

So, what is the point of this blog post?  The point is that there is all kinds of speculation going on “that may significantly affect your personal destiny.”

This discussion involves important names like Mr. Missler’s. It is why I think the following Herescope articles are important.  They take a cautionary position when it comes to quoting occult sources without any kind of disclaimer.  After reading the articles, I find myself in agreement with them.

A New Cosmology for the Church-A Book Review

HERE IS THE LINK to the post on a blog called “Herescope” that discusses the disturbing facts about the book pictured to the right. It includes disturbing information like the following:

The Truth:  Many of these sources employed by Chuck Missler in Alien Encounters involve reports from people who have been openly engaged in practices such as “remote viewing”[82] or mediumistic “channeling.”[83] These are occult techniques popular in the New Age Movement that are also related to clairvoyance.[84] While it is true that the U.S. government was involved in many experiments with these occult practices, that does not make any of them credible, ethical, accurate or truthful.[85] Some of the leaders in these experiments were seeking methods of altering the human brain and changing worldviews. This especially includes those at the Stanford Research Institute (SRI) such as Willis Harman, who had influence over evangelical leaders to change their eschatology.[86]

Methods of altering the human brain and changing worldviews?  (See a better pic here.)

I am sad to say there is also this quote: In a roundtable discussion about Nephilim at the Prophecy Summit 2012 with L.A. Marzulli, Rob Skiba and Douglas Hamp, Derek Gilbert acknowledges the influence of Alien Encounters:

1:44: GILBERT: “I’m like our twelve-year-old Dachshund, I’ve got the gray on the muzzle on both sides. And to my right, the author of the Nephilim Trilogy, and I must say, along with Chuck Missler’s book Alien Encounters, one of the reasons that I am sitting in this chair tonight, um, also the books Politics, Prophecy, and the Supernatural; The Cosmic Chess Match, and now the Watchers series on DVD—which you here in the audience have seen out on the table outside, please welcome L.A. Marzulli. [audience applause] [7]

The Prophecy Conference, held in Branson, Missouri, was sponsored by Prophecy in the News.  I no longer get my magazine from Prophecy in the News, but it always had interesting articles.  I agreed with some and disagreed with others.  Those who have read this blog know that I have put up podcasts from Gary Stearman, whom I think is a brilliant Bible scholar.  None of the ones I have put up involve anything promoting the occult.  I really like Gary, but some of the company he keeps is questionable. This is the most recent post of Gary discussing the character of Superman:

https://chrisreimersblog.com/2013/06/19/the-comic-book-messiah/

Many of Gary Stearman’s podcasts relate information about the current events in Israel (Here is one from 7/8/13, complete with ad banner, that is an intriguing view of the current situation in Egypt).  I am very interested in Israel, as I believe there will be some kind of conflict there soon (no brilliance needed there). And, of course, it is from Jerusalem that Jesus will reign during the Millennium.

I haven’t put anything up recently because all of the podcasts begin with an ad for the upcoming Prophecy Summit II in Colorado (That has now changed).  Many of the people mentioned in the Herescope article, which I find well researched, will be present in Colorado Springs.

A New Cosmology for the Church, Part 2

*NOTE: (3/26/16) I am reviewing this post since it has appeared in my top 10 recently more than once. The link above no longer exists. In fact, “Part 2” is missing from Herescope’s archives. However, YOU CAN FIND PARTS 3 AND 4 HERE.

Click on the “Part 2” title above and you will see just that.  It is a continuation of part 1.  It should be the July 5, 2013 post.  If not, check the archives. I think Herescope has valid questions and concerns.  Consider the following quote from the post: Under the subheading “The ‘Star People’,” Missler reports at length on a “landmark conference called the “’Star Knowledge Conference’” which was “convened by Lakota medicine man Standing Elk to share secret tribal traditions about the ‘Star People’ (Extraterrestrials) with a prestigious group of prominent UFO researchers.”[54] The footnote for this conference references “Richard Boylan’s Star Knowledge Conference Report.”[55] I could not locate a list of attendees at this conference, but the glowing report in Alien Encounters actually seems to be made in the first person. Did Missler (or his co-author Eastman) attend this Star Knowledge Conference?

You can see more about the George Catlin painting HERE. When I first googled the name of the man who published the conference reports, Richard Boylan, I found his official website[56] which “contains reports, articles, and other information on the Star Visitors, on their starcraft (UFOs), and on the advanced-Human Star Kids and Star Seed Adults so numerous now in our population.” Boylan, who says he is a “retired Clinical Hypnotherapist,” holds some elaborate conspiracy theories about “Star Nations,” and on his website he offers to teach children “Psychic Exercises.” He also posts articles such as “Effects on Human Consciousness and Spirituality of Upcoming Announcement of UFO Reality.”[57] His website had plenty to be concerned about so I kept researching him, especially since Missler covered the Star Knowledge Conference for many pages in Chapter Two.

There you have it.  You can read the Herescope posts yourself and see what you think.  Each have extensive footnotes. As I have stated in previous posts, I do believe there is something going on out there and that it is Satanic in nature (Ephesians 6).  We must be careful, however, that we make God’s Word our primary source of spiritual information.

HERE is another take on Mr. Missler.  I haven’t studied this issue enough to know if I agree with all of it, but I share concerns.
